It seems silly now, but nothing filled me with more anxiety than this game when I was kid. The stress when everything sped up, the ghosts were zipping to the Zuul building out of control, red flashing everywhere. But nothing compared to the sheer terror of the ghosts rushing to form the marshmallow man before I could blindly scramble for the 'B' key.

"Many people remember the title screen of Ghostbusters more than the game itself. Artist Hilary Mills drew a perfect Ghostbusters logo, and the late Russell Lieblich made an instrumental arrangement of the Ghostbusters theme song. Unable to leave it at that, I engineered speech for the C64 in order to enable the game to yell 'Ghostbusters! Add the song lyrics and a follow-the- bouncing-ball animation, and the title screen became one of the most memorable parts of the game." -- David Crane, designer and programmer

One thing I always liked about this game that I didn’t know when I was a child and my sister, brother and I used to play it on our C64 is what a great demonstration it is of the limited amount of notes you could hear from that computer and how innovative the programming of the soundtrack was.
