Күн бұрын

Hi everyone! I'm attempting to make my very own jumbo dino in this week's video for my craft fair that is literally happening the next day lol. The pattern I used for inspiration that the little dino is made from, is from Studio Phoebe 22 on Instagram.
You can find her free pattern here / cifcufooxuc
✨🦖FULL step by step tutorial out now! • GIANT Chubby Dino TUTO...
This massive dino took me 9 straight hours to figure out, so I hope you guys enjoy the video, and if you do, be sure to leave a like to help out my channel so I can continue to bring awesome new content like this to you guys!
As promised, the written pattern is down below.
You are definitely allowed to make this jumbo dino and sell if you wish, however, please do not sell the pattern or pass it off as your own! And please credit Reigning Charmz, and if you want, tag me on insta or facebook with your finished dinos! I'd love to see them! @reigningcharmz

Hi so I’ve made everything so far so good but the spikes are too small? Do I just double the pattern or?
@reigningcharmz
@reigningcharmz Жыл бұрын
Hmm.. what weight is the yarn? If they are coming out too small and the yarn is a lighter weight(less than weight 6), then I would double up on the thread and use two stands instead of one. If it is the same weight as mentioned in the pattern (weight 6 bulky) and they are still too small, I would add an extra row or two until they are the size you’d like! Start with R6 and try (2 SC, inc)x6 (24) and if you need it bigger, R7 (3 SC, inc)x6 (30). Don’t forget, the spikes get folded in half before being attached! Hope this helps!

Hi! So I used about 2 rolls of the main body color (pink) and they were about 150 yards a a piece. For the main body color, being any color you wish, you'll need a total of 296 yards. Then, you'll need about 100 yards of your spike color to do the spikes on the back! Hope this helps!

@reigningcharmz
@reigningcharmz Жыл бұрын
Hello! So for round 18 you should be starting with 54 SC from the previous round. So you would make 18 SC, then decrease 9 times (which would take up 18 stitches from the last round) so 18 + 18 = 36, then, make 18 more SC, 36 + 18 = 54 stitches taken up. I hope this makes sense and helps! Basically, I would make sure you had 54 stitches from round 17!

Hi! so the description box is the box right below the video and right above this comment section. It has the total views listed at the top and it reads "Hi everyone! .... (etc)" you'll just click on the "show more" highlighted on the box to expand the description so you can see the pattern! I hope this helps 🥰

Ok so if anyone sees this comment and has done this pattern how do you do row 22. To do the number of stitches and increases it seems you should need 43 stitches in the previous round and you would end up with 47. 6 stitches needed for the first part 33 for the second plus 4 at the end. I’m nervous that if I change it I’ll make it’s body twist. Help!

Hi!! Thank you for pointing this out!! I will definitely correct this and get back to you with the correction shortly! So sorry about that!

So this stitch count at the end of the row is correct, and it’s what you should end up with. So for Row22 you should have 46 stitches at the end. But, I did mistype and it should be 3 SC at the end of the row and not 4 SC. That should bring you to 46! The previous row, 21, should end with 42 stitches. I hope this helped! Let me know if there’s anything else I need to correct!

Hi! So I used about 2 rolls of the main body color (pink) and they were about 150 yards a a piece. For the main body color, being any color you wish, you'll need a total of 296 yards. Then, you'll need about 100 yards of your spike color to do the spikes on the back! Hope this helps!

I tried this pattern and followed every step and used the same yarn , it looks nothing like yours … It’s more of a squishmallow then it is an actual dino :(

I'm sorry! Make sure there is enough stuffing and that it is spread enough throughout cause it could stick together and make it chunky. I do plan on posting an actual step by step tutorial here soon!
