This fascinating scene shows off the masterful talents of the octopus, from changing colors to shape-shifting through across the sea floor. The main event: the octopus finds a crap, envelopes it with its tentacles, and crushes it to death. It then picks the crab clean, leaving only the shell behind.

for every animal thats seen bullying crabs, there's many more than generally don't want to mess with or have to run from crabs. to the average fish without strong biting mouthparts or a way to break open a crab, they are armed and armored tanks whose pincers can do serious damage to fins and exposed skin.

Not sure where this myth arrived. They can see more colours than humans. “Octopuses are not color blind and have excellent color vision. They have specialized cells called chromatophores that allow them to change color and blend in with their surroundings. Octopuses can see a wide range of colors, including ultraviolet light, which is invisible to humans.”

Many years ago, at the Steinhart Aquarium in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, they had the Octopus in with other exotic shellfish, in one area of the exhibit. Somehow the Octopus figured out how to release the catch on his tank lid, and climbed out, Now being a hungry Octopus, he made his way down the other tanks and ate all those exotic shellfish, they discovered him the next morning finishing off the last of the shellfish.

I disagree. It's a very successful evolutionary pattern. There are thousands of species of crabs, in all of the worlds oceans, and they have been around for over 200 million years in the fossil record. That's not a fail, that's a resounding success.
