Bought the Giant Reign E pro from Will Ride Easter thurs avo. 10 mins after you were there. Fantastic staff. The bikes a refined beast. Strong motor, high end parts. Great for downhill, rock strewn - tree roots , drops and jumps. Goes uphill fast too. Manuals a bit tricky with chain length but you cant have everything. Very very happy

Is the DD high roller II on the back a 2.5 or 2.6? all the Giant info say its a 2.6 but I cant find any where that sells a 2.6 DD in that model. The E+1 would be the go with the great suspension spec plus has the XT12spd and XT 4 pot stoppers, also has a 6amp charger,most brands are 2-4amp as standard. Got some good air on that jump...nice!

Hi Sam, Great review! I am thinking of buying one as there a some cheap deals at the moment. Like everyone I am wondering if it is too much bike. Does it feel a lot bigger and heavier? Decisions, deciaions🙂

Hey Scott if you like to ride faster than your skills and like to go dh all the time the the reign is amazing bike but I found it a little boring when it wasn’t super fast as an all rounder the Merida wins for me. The Merida can still do it all but you need to bring your A game.

Great video thanks! A question: I am a 100kg. rider and reaaly love standing up and to attack the trails both flat and downhill. My mates are lighter than me and rides the new bosch motor. i have tried it and it fits me a lot better since there is more torque standing up with low cadence. i really want to have a powerfull motor for alle the small accelerations out of corners. i ride the Shimano motor on my Decoy and there is way less grunt at low cadence it really needs somme spinning to wake up and deliver. Having tried all the different motors what do you think is the right one for me? Bonus info: I derestrict everything right away i hate it when tho motor cuts out...

Ground clearance a pain, battery size not big enough, unless you want to add etc, mullet wheels where I ride a pain, didn't want a single crown fork again, wanted a coil. So 2020 Kenevo expert it was, big battery, ground clearance still not enough, 27.5 wheels so flickable on forest downhill, twin crown fork, coil rear. So Specialized it was but already broke one motor and now the seat post has took a crap. Converted forks internals for HSC damping for more hold up, Fox DHX2 coil a lot better. Magura 220mm disc stops now. Dumped 2.6 tyres put 2.3 maxxis a lot better. Run 12 speed chains as better change that 11 speed.

I bought my Sam2 over this overpriced and not as good a ride as the Focus Sam, most importantly ride a few bikes and try out different frame sizing. I have ridden medium sized bikes in the past yet when I tried out a large in the Focus range it was impressive for fit right from the start before I altered seat ,bar etc position,the standover height is a bit higher but trail capability is great. Regards hope you enjoy

Hi Chris it's too late as I have purchased the Giant Reign pro2, I didn't ride too many emtb's before I made this purchase. I was looking at the Merida e160 8000 but after a watched reviews like Sam's and Drew's channel's with both of those guys who can really ride, you have to take their impartially advice seriously. I have always been a Giant rider so the decision was easy. I must say I really enjoy riding it at my local mtb park, I am sure there are other bikes out there that are better but I am really happy with this bike so far and the overall build quality. I am just getting used to wheeling this bike and I like it with those 4 pot rear end brakes which are able control my wheelies with ease 👍 Cheers Eddy

@@reesmorley1329 I have a 2019 Trance E+ and have this problem at times. For me, it seems dirt gets into the battery compartment and affects the battery connection point. I live in Southern California, so all the trails are super dusty, so I've been having to clean it every couple of rides.

Sam’s Bikes Hi Sam, I am hesitating between the Kenevo Comp and the E-reign 1+... The motor and especially the APP of the Kenevo is for me something very unique, being able to adjust the responsiveness, peak power and shuttle, compare to only the support of all the other brand. But it is a bit more expensive and i never tried the Marzocchi fork. Should I be a little more picky on the component and less on the motor? Do you think the customizability of the power is overrated and i should just ride it as it is? Thanks
@SamsBikes4 жыл бұрын
@@andresamson8859 hey mate... both bikes are rad, Kenevo motor has more power but its not like you can use it all the time or you will run out of battery, I normally sit in low mode and use high for nasty climbs and that's it. I think the APP is overrated I don't use the Shimano app at all but hey if your the type of person that likes that then maybe its worth it... the only time I have thought about using the app is to turn the power right down so I can ride with normal enduro riders and still get a work out. As I said both bikes are Rad Giant as better value but the Kenevo is a Kenevo good luck with it.
