Agreed. I LOVE this quote! Am going to continue using it myself! I remember this Tylenol event well. Glad there is an honest man at that company.

Funny J&J actually didn't want to do anything until one of the Head Honchos of the Health Department of Chicago said they would do a recall, so they had to. They had no intentions to recall anything, they were almost forced into it

It may be true that they were pushed into it, but once they were, they went all in and didn't go half baked or only the bare essential of what they had to do. They recalled everything in the area, then when new poisonings happened, they recalled all Tylenol and had constant updates. The Head guy made an apology and they revamped all packaging, had a 1-800 line and used the press for all future updates. There have been many drug scandals since, where people died and the companies covered it up until far too many people died. Whistleblowers that tried to speak up got fired and harassed. There are still drugs out there, where people don't really know the risks. So I still have to hand it to Tylenol for handling this so well. That's why it's still made a good example of to this day.

It's best to avoid any food that could potentially contain an allergen. I used to be a waiter and food can easily get mixed up and mistakes can be made.
