A word from Stu-
Saab Unleashed is a channel which started over lockdown and has evolved into a mixture of Saab-related shinanigans, car infotainment stuff and in-car tech reviews.
I've been doing these reviews for a couple of years now. The reviews are always based on my personal opinion and are NOT paid for by the manufacturers. This should be fairly obvious because I always talk about any negative points of products.
Sometimes I buy head units to review; sometimes I reach out to manufacturers asking them to provide me with a head unit to review, and sometimes they reach out to me. It is important to me that everyone knows that these free products will never change the outcome of my opinion, or the head unit final scores. If there are issues, believe me, everyone will know!
My intention is to ultimately create detailed, honest and matter-of-fact reviews for consumers and enthusiasts, not advertisements for the manufacturers.
Nowadays, I try to use affiliate links in the video descriptions wherever possible. Most of them are not affiliate links, but there are some, such as those directing to Amazon or eBay. Another great product review . Just a query on the many different head units you connect to your juke box. Some connections are 16 pin and some are 20 pin . Are all 20 pin android units wired in the same order on the pin socket or are some wired slightly different. Same for the 16 pin connections. The reason I ask is that I have changed from a 2015 qashqai to a 2019 Tucson but I still want to use my Dasaita head unit so will have to adapt the harness. I already bought the fascia for the hyundai to fit the Dasaita but not sure about the wiring.

Look and function is a lot like the T'EYES CC3. The CC3 is more refined and available for many more vehicles.

I am not a fan of Apple products. I actually bought that iPhone very cheaply on Facebay with a broken screen for the sole purpose of testing CarPlay for these video. That being said, it is annoying and I should probably just get one in less of a state!

Hi Stuart, could you comment on which head unit manufacturer will work with Mercedes the best? I recently had a Can Bus issue with a defective bumper sensor that crashed the network. Unplugged, everything works again . So I want to make sure I don't introduce a bad signal to the car network and that I don't lose functionality . Thanks.

I always just used MTC devices because of the custom Roms from Malaysk and Hal9k and because i get a real 2 DIN radio in size. I am afraid of, that those narrow head units just will burn in the Summer. But i now have bought a Uis7862 head unit from Witson because of the speed. And been wanting to upgrade a head unit and originally wanted to go with with the new Xtron as they have Android 12 i think. But what would you recommend for me, i am a apple user as well. It's a common mistake to buy something because it has the latest version of Android. In truth, there is very little benefit to getting something newer than Android 10 as the majority of improvements were designed for mobile phones. Hardware specifications are the single most important aspect, followed by the user interface.

I just bought this unit and like it but a little hard to figure out loading songs from my phone into internal file did you have netflix loaded? I wasn't so lucky with my A*Sure. Sending it back via ebay tomorrow for a refund or exchange. *the unit will only power on while the reset button is pressed.* This was the 1st of several Android head units I've purchased that was defective.

I'm still looking for the illusive 7" Android head unit with GPS and or Android Auto that actually sounds good, is affordable, and has a CD player. Even better would be a physical knob and reasonably large buttons. Even better would be with a card reader. I've yet to see one that does it all without price gouging. I tried a Boss and it sounded like a transistor radio playing through a tin can...no EQing could make that sound good. It was sluggish and had a primitive unresponsive interface and file system that was more like an old Squirrel machine like what they use at restaurants than a tablet.

I have a A Sure 4 core series and its not powering on. I think i plugged everything in properly but id like some assistance from someone who also has this product. 1.Where do you plug in the Bluetooth antenna? Its the yellow plug apparently but it has an outlet tho not a actual pin on the end to plug it into 2.Where does the can bus plug into when it says factory plug? I have the big long one in my power cord and the smaller main one in another factory plug but i dont see anywhere to plug in this other one into a factory plug

I have the 4 core and have been struggling with it since day one, after install. I can't change the default widget to more accurately display the things i want. The Blu-tooth can't make up it's mind about connecting, or at least showing that it is connected (even when it is). I can't get some of the qol features to work, such as maps (despite having a gps system and location setup with the entire thing). It's honestly aggravating me and I can't find ANYTHING on the 4 core and ways to set it up for even basic use. The only saving grace, at this time, is that it was a gift, so i'm not feeling cheated out of it in case i can't get the thing to actually set up the way i would like to have it.

360 cams and you only have two options. Kroak and Teyes CC3. The Teyes is infinitely better in every way and is really the only one that would do everything you want.

Please a little help. Which of all car units has an ambient light sensor. It has to respond very, very quickly, in this way, if you are driving at speed, in the summer sun, and you enter in the passage, in a maximum of two seconds the brightness should be reduced from maxim brightness , to minim, so that, the white color map from Waze does not blind me. I kept researching, and I only found that it only reduces the brightness if the car light is turned on, and then, it still doesn't reduce enough. It seems to me the most important function for such large screens, and I see that no manufacturer wants this. Ambient light sensor

It would say Asure if it was Asure. Remember the way it is physically designed is just an industry standard, so many brands look alike

@@SaabUnleashed Don't waste your time and money as it is essentially the same unit as the A-sure (same chipset, ram and UI). Mekede, A-sure, Navifly with the 7862 are pretty much the same under another name.

It means that it's incorrectly wired up. The radio gets it's power from the ignition live. If that wire is connected to a permanent 12v connection, it will stay on. Try switching the red and yellow power wires on the radio's main loom

Hi, Stuart! Could you please make a sound test playing a song through android auto Spotify and through the head unit Spotify app? On my OEM vw headunit (not android) there's a tremendous difference of quality when playing songs through bluetooth (way, way better) and through android auto Spotify. I'm guessing android auto has a poor sound processing software? Or maybe it's just for this particular headunit, i don't know. Cheers from Brazil!

I need you to elaborate further here because you're talking about 3 different things. Three options are - 1. Listen to music via streaming bluetooth from your phone 2. Listen to music via Android Auto (TYhis is also streaming from your phone, but uses a Wifi connection) 3. Listen directly from the Spotify app on the Android head unit Of the three above, the best quality should come from the Spotify app installed directly, followed by Android Auto and Bluetooth would be the worst as it is inferior. I personally always use Spotify directly installed and when I tested it on this head unit, it was great. Don't forget Asure have lots of different hardware to cater for different budgets and unless you bought this exact unit, you might have something different

My point was to see if you could notice any difference on sound quality when listening to music with different connections on the A Sure or any other premium android head units as I'm deciding which one to get. They all aesthetically look the same because they all come from the same Chinese Warehouse... in China there are factories that produce these things and companies basically just give them extra money to paste their own name on that product and they sell it and then other companies will also put their name on that same product then sell it it's the way that the warehouse works so of course they all look the same with maybe only slight differences or variances depending on the model but if you bought it from Chinese company a or if you bought it from Chinese company b or if you bought it from Chinese see it's going to be the same cheap Chinese radio just with a different companies named slapped on it the internals are all the same the parts are all the same etc etc...

This is not true. They look the same because this shape is an industry standard like single and double din. The mainboards are made at different factories and they have different components and software between brands. That being said there are some generic units which are lazily shared across noname brands

If you're referring to Netflix, as with the vast majority of android head units, an older version needs to be sideloaded. I have a video on that on the channel

Did you check fir malware on this units? Have you run Fake Hardware Test on it? Mine shows malware installed and specs are not as per actual specs. Also fake android version reported.. Scam.

If they say nothing else is required, then yes, not great. These Android units need a USB stick for DAB and that's normally shown as an optional extra on the site
