If women themselves watched the WNBA, the media rights would bring in a boatload of money. Women need to support women's sports if they want female athletes to be better valued

Angel's impact in the wnba may be bigger than Caitlin's because her inflence may attract more women to watch and attend games which will cause more men to watch and attend. Angel showing girls that its cool to be a girly girl and still hoop.

Forbes reported that Wemby added 500M to the franchise he will be drafted in. Just now, NBA posted the top-selling jerseys this season and Wemby is top 4 overall. He is top 2 in jersey sales in Europe. And the Spurs are even in the top 10 franchise’ merch sales this season. I’m guessing Caitlyn Clark will do the same if not better for her team, but there’s levels to this. It’s easier to make an impact in a small pond, compared to the ocean.

Caitlin's last game was 16m, if she can bring in half of that for a game, she has more than doubled the views for the WNBA for a year. Nothing Wemby can do can have the percentage change for the NBA the way she will for the W. Let me break it down to you like this, if you have a million dollars, and I give you another 200K that is a 20% increase. But if you have 100k, and I give you 100k, that is 100% increase. This show Consistently has the worst Basketball takes ever!!!…why tf would wnba Do 1 and done when there aren’t enough spots and the Starting salary is like 70k

@@gatorboy21kingCollege gives the story lines. Caitlin and Angel only started to get a ton of hype after playing 2 years in college then they exploded in popularity because of their college rivalry. What mens college rivalry is as popular right now? None because al the best players leave after one year... And with all these great college players and 1st round picks that get cut in the WNBA, expansion won't make spots for high schoolers, but more experienced pros who had to go overseas to play after college.

The funniest part is that 1 and done is making the NBA unwatchable.

What you also have to understand is womens bodies are different. 28 yr old female in wnba is like 38 in nba

Hell nah. Women don’t rely on as much athleticism, which is why Candace Parker was still killing as an old head. And Diana.

The WNBA needs a true rivalry. Magic and Bird. East vs West. Black vs White. Clark vs Reese... Amerikkka loves racist rivalries

Angle Reese’s game isn’t like that to rival Clark. Caitlin’s only competition will be with JuJu in a few years.

Can the Wmba afford to develope players? They need the college to do it.

Thank youuuuuuu my god how was this not brought up. They ain’t got the infrastructure like that to be supporting one and dones when there having to cut first rounders because of their roster structure my god now you want them to draft college player after one year 😂 they need college to build them up in skill and fame and then just hope it follows them to the wnba. This will be the first year where we will if it does

It’s easier to make an impact in a small pond compared to an ocean. WNBA is a small pond in comparison to the NBA. But the WNBA now have the chance to expand that pond with this new draft class, they just have to do a great job at marketing everyone. Create narratives and make rivalries, because the drama is what makes people watch and it will keep people interested.

Huge Wemby fan here. But if I'll be honest, I've been watching the NBA before Wemby was even born, but this is going to be my first year watching the WNBA, so do with that what you want.
