This also shows why he wont be a hall of famer or why he didnt make the all star games consistently,poor attitude.You cant treat your coaches like that. George karl didnt specifically say KENYON needs to rebound more,he said WE. I was a Nugget fan at the time and from 2005 to 2006, Kenyon had micro-fracture surgery on both knees. his body was failing him and he was in a very bad mental space at the time. not too many coaches want to deal with that when trying to win playoff games. to make matters worse, the Clippers defensive strategy was to collapse on Melo and make the Nuggets beat them from the outside, which made K-Mart a liability. so it was a perfect storm.

George Karl is 100% responsible for Melo never playing in a finals
@Daniel_Capital
@Daniel_Capital 11 ай бұрын
Can’t let you get away with that one, Melo is most responsible for what he did or didn’t accomplish, which is why he never made it anywhere else he played either. Melo didn’t play defense and was too inefficient offensively. Those are facts. Always wanna find a white man to blame and give zero accountability to our brothers. Gary Payton made it to the finals just fine with george karl while being defensive player of the year. Funny how that works

George Karl players didn’t like him for all you people talking about Kenyon was unprofessional or what ever … listen there were tough coaches like Riley and popovich that had situations with players however players respected those coaches… because Riley and pop don’t disrespect the players and treat them like shit…. Karl did he had no respect…

This just goes to show you how much power these players have. Guaranteed contracts do the trick here. No way you could EVER talk like this to coach in Europe. Your ass would be gone next day and contract voided.

Kenyon was an all star level in NJ. But he was the worst when he played with Denver. If he is not injured, he gets ejected. That's why nobody wants him after Denver and he was crying about it.

It's not childish when your career and livelihood is at stake. Winning is all that really matters in sports. If you can't deliver on that you may have a short playing career. The coach was playing games with his career out of spite plain and simple.

“And had to go back the next year…” 😂😂 Larry David went off on Lorne Michaels for not using the material he wrote for SNL. Told him he was done working for such a trash show, and stormed off. Then after he cooled down, he realized how much money he wasn’t gonna be getting, and he knew he f****d up. So he just showed up the next work day like nothing happened. It actually worked. Lol
