It’s a bad take, but Spoelstra has been able to do more with less than Pop. But to be fair, Demar DeRozan and Dejounte Murray weren’t able to elevate in the postseason like Jimmy does. I do think Rashad is way off, because Dejounte has become an All Star under Pop as well. Pop knows how to cultivate talent, but is his old school style cohesive with the new positionless, 3pt styled offenses. During the Spurs reign, they’re offenses were built around David Robinson, then Tim Duncan.

Kerr won after tanking, Pop hasn't after agreeing Pop won after tanking and getting TD. Like what? Pop tanks he's a bad coach, Steve Kerr is a good coach and it's fine that he tanks LOL 😂. @@ds15dI agree. He mentions about moving the goal post but he’s the one without any clear definition of what is a great coach is. The fact the spurs were 50+ winning team every almost every season that Pop had a star player is an achievement (minus 4 seasons ago which was a clear rebuilding season). You have also to take into account that the spurs outside of aldridge and Rodman had not Allstar signing during free Agency. Most of their stars/important role players are homegrown and developed. Kawhi, Parker, Ginobili, Bowen, Lonnie Walker (traded), Murray (traded). These are players that they spent hours in developing. And Pop had a hand in all of these players development.

McCants was out of the NBA after four seasons. Kings declined to extend his rookie contract and was released mid-season. The following season he failed to make the rosters of Houston, Cleveland and then Dallas. At age 33 he was a huge star in the Big Three league where the best players are 47 year-old Cuttino Mobley and 48 year-old Abdul-Rauf. Too funny. Rashad McCants just mad becasue Spurs never called him. If he had played for the Spurs he would have been in the NBA at age 33.

full plate means it was already cooked. that makes no sense. he didnt cook anything. the system is supposed to work regardless of the level of talent if its the coach. look at erik spolestra. consistent with bron as without. hes gotten jimmy now and hes reached the conference finals twice. dont just look for sound bites.

What I’ve realized about Rashad is he disagrees for the sake of disagreeing sometimes. He’s also the type of person that doesn’t admit when he gets it wrong. He’ll try to pivot to another point and make it as if that was the initial point he was making. I’m not sure if that’s just something he’s intentionally doing for the show or that’s his natural character. Either way he should trash it. It’s not a good look and make you look ignorant and incompetent

Kenyon Martin face during Rashard’s explanations had me rolling 😂 But that’s weird asf to say a coach is bad if they can’t win without talent! My question would’ve been “well who is a good coach then if Pop is a bad coach?”….. Bc his description basically calls EVERY COACH in NBA history! Then he had the audacity to say Kerr is better bc he won! But failed to mention with the SAME CORE TALENT that won EACH CHAMPIONSHIP! Wtf McCants be smokin bruh 😂

@@Ganzo8386 Nobody's done better with less...that's for sure and not even debatable. One of the best coaches as far as in-game adjustments, ato's and getting the best out of his players. Getting to 2 finals with only Jimmy and Bam is incredible. Meanwhile, you have loaded rosters like the Celtics, Bucks, and Philly, which always seem to fall short and is being or has already been taken out by this Heat team. That being said, the less talented Spurs beating the Heat with Lebron, Wade, Bosh, and their stacked roster shows that Pop was and is still one of the goats of coaching. Spo, Pop, Riley, and Phil are the goats and Kerr is pretty close. Everybody else aren't real difference makers.
