Glad you enjoyed it! Not many people make it down there. It's very close to the Oatman Massacre site which was the subject of another video.

My family and I camped next to the building about a month ago. We spent two days and explored all around the site. I then did my best to find any information about the site with no luck. I believe it was a cable ferry crossing.

Eric, yes, I made a comment re: the 'cable ferry' in my comments below the video. I called it a 'bosun's chair', but it amounts to the same thing. Wonder if you went down below.

@@W7DSY We took the path down to the boiler and looked at everything I believe there is to see on the south side of the river bed. The only thing I went to that you didn’t have in your video there is a rock house/building halfway up that cliff pretty cool.

Were they petroglyphs on those rocks at the end!

Cool! I hadn’t heard of the pump station story before. My impression was they built the dam to capture flood water that wasn’t captured further upstream and tried to irrigate along the south side of the riverbed.

Yeah, I've been to the Oatman site many times, but just heard of this old facility a year or so ago.

I put together two videos, shot nearly a year apart. Since shooting the first one, I have found a way to partially defeat the wind noise. My apologies for the wind which always blows in this area.

I worked on Oatman Mt. for the Army for 18 years and spent a lot time out on the North side. There are a lot of rock alinements 1.34 miles heading 314.67 degrees. ( W33.017927 N113.200663 ) from the pumping station.

Thanks, Ray. Some of the information I have gathered was from locals. Unfortunately the museum in Gila Bend AND the historical society in Yuma are shut down right now, and they have photos which I was unable to look at.

I delayed this video because a friend of mine posted one about the same time I was out there. Decided to wait so as not to appear to be a copycat.

When I put those numbers into google maps I can't find the site you were at.
