One big thing McCants is missing is that professional sports is a huge deal for billions of average people around the world. All money aside, I remember so many people who'd been through a lot being overjoyed to have sports to look forward to again; they now had a couple of hours to forget about all their prolems. It wasn't this uninmportant thing that should stop. People need entertainment for their morale and mental health too. So, it was awesome that so many players stepped up and put on a show during a difficult time. From a player's perspective, like Gil said, everyone had to make the same sacrifices. Plus, the Lakers lost Avery Bradley, who was a starter when they were top of the conference. And it was the year Kobe died, so there was a lot of emotion and pressure on them to perform. They showed up, played and dominated - there is no asterix.
