I love it. Montana has a way of letting you know that you are still alive. Take this winter as an example. I saw -50°F with 60 MPH winds (-105°F windchill). A person such as myself with 48 farm animals to care for have to be out in it nearly the entire time hauling hot water in buckets, covering animals with extra straw, shovel through drifts up to 5 feet deep that are closing up behind you. I have been here my entire life of 50 years though so I don't know any other place.

Walt Disney must be rolling in his grave. I grew up with his Sunday show as a kid and idolized the company. My wife and I had planned on taking our 3 children, their spouses, and 6 grandchildren on a kick-butt vacation in Orlando, but canceled those plans after Disney’s sad fall from grace. What a disappointment! Well, maybe not. We are planning a new venue at a glamping ranch in big sky country. Seems to be closer to our family values. Go Gina!

As someone who worked for them since the 1980s, including on feature films, the top managers and corporate culture is awful. But rank and file employees and contract workers are good people who have a very different set of goals and ethics than our supervisors. We have a saying here; our successes, like The Lion King and various theme parks, are created IN SPITE OF corporate HQ. Sexism and racism is ironically part of the culture at corporate, always has been. They doth protest too much! Employees find ways around jab mandates and other bs. The gap between the people who do the work at Disney and the bean counters and rule writers is massive. If you decide to come to Orlando someday, hopefully you'll see this disconnect between Disney "cast members" and the corporate face of the company firsthand.
