Enjoyed it thanks. Normally watch St Louis clips but yours are more helpful because you provide useful thoughts and insights into how you think during a game...even if I can't keep up with the moves :) Thanks again, subscribed and off to watch your next clip.

Dear GM Simon ! great game dude !i must say your channel and your work are very inspiring indeed, you are like a detective who is bringing light to a dark room, in the sense that we patzers who watch the videos can understand much more about the position when you talk about it and analyse it. please don't stop doing what you are doing, cause personally i will get very depressed, and also get in more videos of tactics training, would be very thankful ! cheers !!!

Colors are flashing probably because the camera is adjusting white balance, just search it in camera settings or recording software and set it fixed at the value that makes looks best instead of relying on autodetection.

Very much enjoyed the demonstration of how to play two rooks against a queen, they really are very strong if one has pawns to anchor the rooks on safe squares.

This was a good video. Otherwise play premium members and you won't get cheats!! Honestly, Simon never seems to have played a random premium member. He has said in the past the settings were adjusted for that, but it never happens.

At 31:30, why not just playing Bishop to c8 ? I know this looks odd but that's the only way to control the 7th rank with the bishop and knight, and wins material by force doesn't it ?

36:59 - You´re implementing time scramble strategies while you neglected time management the entire game. You are a mutable one. Very puzzled about your overall time management. Congrats on the win. Had the impression, that there was a possibility for you to dominate when out of the opening. Very solid finish.

Thanks for the videos, Simon! Just one friendly criticism: I wish you would do the beginning commentary before the game starts so you don't lose so much time in the opening. You always seems rushed for time at the end of your games, and I always think back to the full minute you lost at the start of the game. Seems like it happens in all the long play games you post.
@aurielklasovsky4536 жыл бұрын
It is a good advice, But I personally always skip to a point in the video where I see some moves have been played. I know its not very nice to do, just a human over here ;-).

@Ezek18-326 жыл бұрын
IKR, though it's more logical to me to start at 800, as 1200 ain't that bad of a rating, especially giving it to a new player.
@michaelholm45726 жыл бұрын
I believe you can now select your level when signing up so if you say that you are a new player it starts you at 800.

Be rated 800. Lose against a GM. -5 points. Seriously?
@vga12326 жыл бұрын
MegaFonas Ginger's rating is less than 2000 in this time control (because he was playing cheats)
@RBG90005 жыл бұрын
In case of a wide rating gap, if the greater player wins, there is almost no change in ratings for both players, as that was the result to be expected. If the game is a draw of the lesser player wins, then the rating change is drastic
@Frogfish9992 жыл бұрын
I love how your opponent's rating went down for that loss lol. Oh you barely lost a tough endgame against a GM? 795 sounds more accurate of a rating for you than 800

@threethrushes6 жыл бұрын
Because, it is not pronounced al-YEH-een. Alekhine was Russian, so his surname is correctly pronounced al-YEKH-in. However, GingerGM (and, I hazard a guess, the majority of his audience) has English as mother tongue, and we naturally would say AL-ekh-ine.
