R.I.P. Tina Turner!!! Oh mane! I’m sad that she passed away and she was the Queen of Rock and Roll. She was such an inspiration to all of us who had such a great run in the music industry. She will be missed by many of her dearest fans.

@eliwol37893 жыл бұрын
Don’t read into things inaccurately. He was saying that he wasn’t abusive as portrayed, and his conduct would be acceptable to someone treating his mother that way. Keep in mind Tina was not the little virgin they made her out to be before meeting Ike. She already had kids from Ike’s band member and a random guy who she didn’t know his identity. He raised all of them and married her and provided for them. Tina abused Ike just as much as he abused her.

@@eliwol3789 I truly believe that. I've seen the movie so many times, and just rewatched it today on hulu. I had no idea she kids before ike. I have to look that up. But did her mood and attitude change?! According to IKe it did, so he did her a favor. Nigga ask you what’s wrong then let it be known. IKe clearly grew up seeing his dad beat his mom, and like some men they don’t know how to communicate with women. Her pissy mood was aggravating him, so once he sniffed that coke and asked her what’s up and she responded with some bullshit then you already know the rest.

You can tell by his composer and stuttering that he was a lying abusive bastard. My step father was the exact mirror image of Ike turner, beating my mom, me, and my siblings as if he was a man possessed. Beating us with wire hangers, studded belts, extinction cords, and anything else he could find. He has punched, kicked, bit, spit on and pushed my mom down a flight of stairs and dared us to start crying about it. He has even slammed me on a glass table when I was only four years old. I'm 28 now, and surprisingly I don't hate the man. I only pity him. I pity him because he's in bad shape at this very moment, but he still believes and talk as though women should bow down and worship men like slaves. Men like Ike and my stepfather always get what they deserve in the long run, which is loneliness and misery for all the physical, mental, and emotional pain and suffering they bestowed on the ones they claimed to "love".

So sorry we had to go thru that. There's nothing worse than a child having to witness their mother being beaten . Regardless of what goes on in the bedroom afterward I don't see why why these women stay with their abusers especially when there's kids involved being traumatized by each & every beating they witness. I'm sorry but if a woman wants to keep her dumb ass in that type of relationship please make sure you don't have kids or if you do find a better home, & a better environment for the kids away from that mess. I would have rather been put up for adoption. As I got to be nine or ten I had so much animosity against my dad of course but even more against my mom. I wondered how could she have so little self respect for herself to stay & did she wonder or even care about what it was doing to her kids? Even as an adult with my own kids I remember everything clearly to this day. I vowed to never put my two through anything like that. I advise anyone who is in an abusive marriage or relationship to get out because no matter how much you love him he doesn't love you or your kids. A man who genuinely loves you & your kids would never do anything to hurt you. We were just blessed because more often than not the abusive relationship turns into a deadly relationship. My two cousins lost their mom to domestic violence when they were teens. Never love anyone harder than you love your kids & yourself. I pray for all the children who are going through this & there's nothing they can do about it until they're old enough to get out on their own.Ladies think about the trauma you're causing your children. Think, is he worth it?? HELL NO!!

A man who puts his hands on a woman and her kids is a damn coward. Ike was a damn coward just like my step father. I pity them both. A man who puts his hands on a woman, wouldn't dare try that with another man. They actually ball up and fold like paper when confronted by another man.

As a child growing up in poor neighborhoods I've seen and heard domestic violence. My goodness it was so scary to hear parents argue and fight over anything back then. I remember that I was in the bedroom hiding myself from all that abuse at home, I was covering myself with pillows and blankets from hearing the rough noises.

Sorry you went through that, had to be traumatic. I hope you learned how to feel safe, somehow.

how does hitting your wife help financial problems or hard times, as a man you are supposed to be a comforter of your family through life's hardships, your father should cherish your mother and the kids. not make life hellish for them, how then do you turn on the woman who stands by you who loves you and abuse her, disgusting.
