Wow. I’m grateful my Dr. supplied me with a retainer to help cover the wound at the top of my mouth and they put a special putty over the graft to protect that area. Still need to be careful of course, but so glad I don’t have exposed wounds in my mouth to contend with.

Just had it done on my front two lower fangs. It's been 10 days. One of the most painful first weeks I've ever had. Don't let them lie to you. " Most people feel ok after a couple days" WRONG. Get a full script for painkillers... And clear your schedule for TWO WEEKS!

I've had this done a number of times - including 4 days ago. It isn't bad at ALL! Slightly uncomfortable during the procedure, but I took no pain meds after the first day.

I just got my second gum graft on two of my lower teeth. The only thing I’m trying to be extra careful about is brushing my top teeth. Kinda scares me when the toothpaste falls anywhere on my bottom row of teeth somewhat close to the putty they put on my teeth lol
