GIOVANNI DIDN'T CURE MY COLD BUT MADE MY 4c HAIR SOFT & DEFINED

Please don't think you're left behind because you can't afford expensive hair care products. There are many affordable brands out there including Giovanni Hair Care. Can you imagine: Giovanni is a salon-inspired hair care brand founded by hairstylists! They also have an organic plant based focus, which is great. Most of their products are even vegan, so it's good to know. And it's super affordable if you compare it to other natural hair care brands here.
It's really important to point out that I'm talking from a EURO-Centric, German point of view. The US is not the entire world and hair care products that are sold in the US will never have the same price as in Africa, Asia & Europe. So find what is within your price range.
Their products are free from most of the ingredients I usually avoid and this makes it wonderful to start a natural hair and or a curly hair journey.

Here's another 2022 review for you! I used salon quality products with a plant based approach, but very very affordable. And Giovanni Cosmetics products can be bought in different parts of the world without breaking legs. Their cleansers, conditioners and styling products always contain a rich blend of plant extracts and I love the light weight feeling of my hair when I use them. If you use a second gel on top instead of the mousse, you'll find lots of enjoyment and long lasting definition. I paired it with the Camille Rose Curl Maker and loved the results. I've seen other using it with Innersense I Create Hold. So I think there are many options if you own these tight curly hair strands. I've also used the leave-in & the mousse to achieve voluminous hair.

Let me point out, that I do my reviews and experience talk based on my Euro-Centric view. Something that is on sale or affordable in the USA is definitely not the same here in Europe, Africa or Asia. It could cost double or triple here. We barely see products on sale besides Black Friday or special holiday seasons. UFD 16oz gel for example costs about 40 dollars + when converted from euros right now. 32oz costs double. So we're really struggling here. So don't feel discouraged to find what works for you. 🤭

@@rosieamelia5955 Definitely easier but unfortunately also expensive. So same price category as Innersense & Rahua that I use. 😊I found a curl shop in Netherlands and bought their samples, so that I don’t need to order from UK. But my only downgrade is their fragrance. 😔 It’s 5th place in their gels & it’s kind of too strong for my nose unfortunately. I’m a perfume lover & usually not sensitive but my nose seem not to like it unfortunately. Took me a while to figure out until I read through the ingredient. 😔

So I am so guilty of running the water 💦 only when I get cold . I have the gel and foam but I am yet to use them for a wash and go. Giovanni was the first shampoo and conditioner I used when I went natural over 10 years ago. Your curls clumped really well ,beautiful !

Is this a good gel with strong hold to use as a topper gel for example to pair with Camille rose curl maker for instance ? Or does it act more like a humectant base gel?

I mentioned everything in the video. 😅 And I even paired it with Camille Rose Curl Maker. But honestly at this point, I can’t say a lot because I don’t know the characteristics of your hair, how dense it is, how thick it is and the curl diameter. It could be a strong hold combination for you, but could also be a medium hold combination. When I used it both with the Giovanni gel & Curl Maker, it gave me a very light to medium hold cast, because of how tight my curls are. Most of my curls have the diameter of needles and Italian to Chinese Noodles. It takes much more product & strong hold gels for a stretched look. While using most of these gels, it requires the use of lots of water to get that even distribution and slippery sea weed feeling while smoothing your hair. I’ll soon upload my styling video and maybe your issue isn’t the products but application like not using enough gel.

How long did it last ?

It lasted at least 3-4 days until I washed again because of summer, sickness & sweaty scalp. It give my hair a very soft & light weight to medium hold. Silky loose & wavy textures also use Giovanni styling products, depending on their characteristics it gives them medium to strong hold.
