You’ve got to love how when people start their story, they always start with justifying their cheating right off the bat. At that point you know the narrative is skewered. They’re both messed up and deserve each other.

Story 1: So we have two proven cheaters (the jury still out on whether the past cheating was on each other or not) in a relationship, casual cocaine usage, one a “recovering” alcoholic, and the other refusing to admit the truth to himself and then lashing out at those trying to help him. This is a nuclear meltdown waiting to happen.

I know! That age gap, like the rest of the relationship, is disgusting. She needs professional help- at the very least a therapist if not outright rehabilitation. There is no excuse for drunk driving. Like they just keep minimizing every single issue in their relationship and in themselves.

She's probably with him just for safety until she gratuates. They have the most compatible sex now, she lives in his house, he pays for everything and comforts her emotionally while she still gets to go out and drink. @@dream6562 OP specifically asked to make sense of it. The most sense in the context OP gave in the original post WAS cheating, he's just whining they think so little of a someone who would drunk drive (or drive with one). Even with the further context, I mean it's a incredibly high indication of cheating likely or at the V?ERY least incredibly poor decisions that should have been seriously considering whether or not to even continue the relationship when he has a child. I mean if she actually changes (press X to doubt) maybe they can seriously move pass this, but those are pretty bad consistent decisions on her part.

@jboy804 This is what gets me. All he ever talked about were her bad points and he wonders why reddit is talking shit about her and wants him to dump her ass? He set himself up for failure if he really wanted relationship advice. If anything, he wrote everything out to vent and wanted validation from the internet. Then after getting sober, he felt guilty talking shit about his girlfriend and lashed out at reddit. What an idiot. They both deserve each other tbh. Edit: Holy cow, I forgot he was divorced before and has a son now. I can't imagine how his son feels about him considering his dad seems to have an alcohol problem, uses cocaine, and chooses to be with someone who also has an alcohol and drug problem. Yikes.

Story 1: Honestly, OP is only putting a bandaid on a gaping wound by ignoring how serious the situation he’s in. His partner is a lying (a horrible one at that), self-destructive alcoholic who needs professional intervention before she ends up on a missing persons case ... Whether or not she actually accepts the help however is her choice … and so far the future seems bleak. OP is only making her worse by thinking he could save her himself. Apparently OP is also a freaking father bringing adult “role models” like this into his life because … They have matching kinks? His girlfriend isn’t the only one in serious need of a wake up call. The way the *delusional* OP in the first story actually LASHED OUT at Redditers who were only trying to help him and pointing out his gf's VERY OBVIOUS CHEATING makes it INCREDIBLY hard to feel any sort of empathy for him... especially when you consider that HE was the one who posted asking for advice in the first place. He deserves what's coming to him simply for purposefully and stubbornly shoving his head in the sand and covering his ears. I never understand people like him. Why waste time coming to the internet and asking for help only to lash out when those people give you advice? In a few weeks or months, this same OP will be back online acting all surprised Pikachu face when he discovers his gf cheating. 😩

Being a Druggie likely explains the Audaciousness! And no need to tell her to Always Press Charges! She did that shit IMMEDIATLY. I start to wonder if she had an EPISODE when she broke in! Like her original plan was to steal from OP, but then became angry that she was living "good" while she was STRUGGLING and had her kid taken so decided "if she can't have it....." (Say this only because OP mentioned the woman was only 3 years older then her! That SOB of a Sperm Donor LITERALLY went for a girl NEAR HIS DAUGHTER'S AGE! like WTF!) I feel for OP as me and my family had YEARS of being plagued by nutjobs who came in our direction because some other asshole or another caused them to do so and had some weird sort of ENTITLEMENT (Like my EX adopted brother once had a relationship with my mother's FRIEND when he was 18, woman was in her LATE 40's! Then got violent when he told her she was just a "hook up" that Ma cut contact when she BROKE a bottle of her wine in our house trying to hit HIM...she and the rest of us only found out AFTER the fact! And then some detectives came because she filed a false rape report ON ME! A person who rarely interacted with her as I kept to myself and my video games, I might have said Hi when I pass her by, but that's it! Turns out she was trying to spite my MOTHER for the crime of "protecting her son from her crazy ass attacking him with a bottle" by trying to get me, her eldest son arrested, but what saved me from anything happening was she was an IDIOT when it came to the TIME! I was MILES away from where the "RAPE" apprantly happened, like in I was in a Movie Theater MILES away watching the Marlon Wayne movie "A Haunted House" back when that came out in Theaters, Not a great Movie and I saw it LATE that I got home at 1AM which is rare as I never stay out past that time! It's NEW YORK FUCKING CITY! That's the time the Crazies come out, Imagine the horror in my 20 year old mind on the LONG Subway and later bus ride back home! People HAVE been shot at these's times, so I will NEVER do that again! So because Cameras everywhere OBVIOUSLY verifying my location. (And the fact I had Night school in the SAME area as the Theater before that point, so they verified I WAS there too and I'd have to have been the FLASH to be in two VERY Long Distance areas, and oh yeah "NO CRIMINAL RECORD") it was dropped as fast as it was brought up. Still pissed everytime we "come across" each other where she tries to act "friendly" after what she tried to do! Seriously, she had a grudge on that asswipe ex sibling of mine, but decides to go after ME! (It's the reason I act like Keanu Reeves does with his fans, no one is getting SHIT on me!)

Story 1: It always amazes me how these men and women in their early to mid 30s get with people in their very early 20s and then are amazed there's trouble. While there's nothing wrong with age gaps, that kind of age gap they're at 2 different stages in life and aren't relationship material for each other. She's 25. That's a fully grown woman. There is no more argument about her cerebral cortex not being fully formed. Stop infantilizing women. What I read into this story is that she's an international student, likely studying on mom and dad's dime. There are a lot of Asian students studying abroad that have never actually had a job and live on allowances from their parents. Not even Stepmom, just OP Sperm Donor's "Baby Momma" as they weren't married. But yeah, this was the likely expected result, she was desperate for money, then remembered her Baby Daddy had a daughter somewhere and became obsessed with being a leech on her (likely her own family if any have cut her off! I still remember when my Ex-Adopted brother was disowned, THREE fucking women came out of the ether and started harassing me and my mother because he had children with EACH of them before dipping out, and they acted like "we should take care of their babies" in exchange! He was disowned LONG before he got with them, so not our business! One of them even got my mother's number because my idiot adopted sister who was later disowned for letting her SECOND baby daddy who was a pedo SA my nephew and niece gave them my mother's number and she thought "blasting her" with photos of the baby would "Soften her heart" SPOILERS it didn't and my mother is a caring individual, but she knows the game, me and her are caring, but we DESPISE emotional manipulators VERY MUCH! Hell they started AMBUSHING me on my walking routes, had to use an old TACTIC I used against bullies who tried this back in school by having multiple routes to my usual locations, switching out each time to get around them as well. Finally ended once it was confirmed NONE of them child was that IDIOTS kid! Lucky he left alot of his shit with us that had his DNA on it and they weren't exactly "good girls" themselves! Not like he would have cared for the kids knowing him) and when the forceful route failed, she very likely scooped out their place and schedules and waited till they all left to try and rob them (being a druggie, she likely had the steps of breaking in and expecting something valuable lying around, Reality is very different from the movies/tv/Video Games where valuable shit isn't lying around the house to be taken, other then maybe a TV LOL) would have been funny if OP and Hubbie left alarms that blared if the house was entered in a improper fashion! Once scared a potential home invader this way, noticed a stranger who wasn't known in the area leering at our place! Then one night when we left out, I put an Alarm of sorts on the door, more meant to SURPISE one of my siblings if they came home early! Asshole chose that time to invade, ended up getting spooked and hurt himself trying to get away (it was the equalivent of that scene with the Pizza Man in the Original Home Alone Movie when Kevin put on that Gangster Movie when he arrived to get the Pizza and scare him off without him knowing there wasn't an adult in the house) got caught and we had a laugh. Ma slapped me on the back of the head though because she knew I was being a prankster and NOT because I was preparing for Home Invaders, but I later got a $20 Nintendo Eshop Card in my room when I got back from going out the next day

I'm more concerned for how they could afford the "after". She literally went halfway across the country to get to them. I don't think there's any real way for them to stay there. If she gets out of jail, even for a day, you know exactly where she's going. Op and her family hopefully went dark for a few years until she was confirmed locked up or sent somewhere else.

Story 1: I'm gonna wait for the inevitable post were OP whines that he got cheated on. Because cheating is never based on what you might lose, by rather what you might 'gain' by cheating. If it was always logical, the cheaters would have either left their partners to start dating the new guy/gal or they wouldn't cheat in the first place. Plus the girlfriend randomly breaking down into a panic attack from someone dropping an F-bomb is a serious problem to have on top of everything else.

Using the word "trust" is the most common gaslighting method a shitty person will do, acting like it's absolute when it's not. S1: This is why age gap relationships are a bad idea 90% of the time! She’s still in her partying phase, and you spend all your time trying to make sure she’s home safe like she’s your teenaged daughter instead of your gf. You say you know she’s lying. She’s also drinking as an alcoholic? Why do you encourage her to go out drinking? There is no cure for alcoholism, no amount of time or limit of drinks that will mean she’s ok to drink, ever. Ultimately, she’s a legal adult and can choose to do what she wants and you can’t *force* her to make smart choices (especially when smashed) or come home at a decent time/not let someone drive her drunk, no matter how much money you offer to throw at her. It sounds like you already suspect she’s cheating, and you know what to look for. It’s your decision what to do going forward. Well, Reddit warned you, but there are none so blind as those who refuse to see. I wouldn’t recommend coming back here crying when she lies again; Reddit doesn’t tend to be a forgiving community at the best of times.

@@akoilngas1215 Agree to disagree. Both in personal experience (people I’ve known) and what I’ve seen on Reddit. Either people are at two different places in life (like OP and his wife), one ends up being more of a parental figure and the other a dependent, or, there’s a power imbalance and one uses it as a means of controlling the other and purposely marries much younger spouses. A lot of the time they have nothing in common, because for example she’s fresh out of college and he’s been climbing the career ladder for decades, she’s into partying and hasn’t figured out what she wants yet and wants to stay out with her friends at all hours of the night and he wants a housewife to host his work parties and raise his kids, not someone he (literally) has to remind to brush her teeth before bed. Once in a blue moon they’re both mature and compatible and it just works, but that’s few and far between.

@@KE-hr4sb This woman is 25. She's not fresh out of college. She's not a child. She is an immature 25 year old hooking up with a guy that conveniently overlooks that immaturity. The statistics show that age gap dating has a higher failure rate than people of equal age. That said, it works when you have two mature people who share a connection beyond their pelvises. There is no need to eliminate people out of your dating pool simply because they are 9 years older or younger as long as you're getting together for the right reasons.

@@akoilngas1215 She’s acting like she’s fresh out of college (still drinking and partying). “Statistics show age gap dating has a higher failure rate” Yeah, kinda what I was saying. I did not say they never work out, but, most age gap relationships are older men wanting a younger woman that they then realize they have nothing in common with/spend all their time parenting. Or that specifically look for a power imbalance because they’re controlling. Most age gap relationships aren’t healthy, which is why such a small percentage succeed. “There is no need to eliminate people out of your dating pool as long as you’re getting together for the right reasons.” Unfortunately, many that go for age gap relationships AREN’T in it for the right reasons, which is why a lot of them fail.

So basically we just can not trust OP in story one. this idea of flirting is the guy saying he's weak for getting drunk off a couple whiskeys? that's a very common (though admittedly unhealthy) things drinkers would say regardless of who they said it to/about. it does not indicate the guy wants to fuck her just because he said that.
