Unfortunately I worry about if Op did try to push the harassment to HR and brought up this incident that OP would be painted in a bad light/made it seem like he was sexuallly harassing her in private. She planned out the sexy underwear and luring him to his room in advance, so she is methodical and is good at planning. She also is a known manipulator so OP NOT saying anything would work in her favor because she could easily twist it on OP later even tho its a she said he said situation as women are more often believed. OP not accepting alcohol while on the trip for the most part was smart AF imo I think OP should, if able to, keep things between them on email as much as possible for a written record, try to always have a third person around if they discuss stuff in privaate (maybe see if they can get another team member to work with them, hell even an intern, because it sounds like they are mainly a 'duo' who work 1 on 1 a lot, so she could be more bold to do this stuff, and maybe a third person will help stop it towards OP, but Op needs to look out for the third person too lets be real!) and also no more talk about personal stuff except to counter about his loving wife if she does inappropriate things. Strictly professional talk from now on and if she does any intimate things (like the shirt thing, turn chair or body away while looking at the paper, move away if she gets too close, or just say personal space (loudly if there are others around so others can pick up on it as well)). I would not be surprised if it was a one sided emotional affair with the supervisor dumping all the stuff about her divorce on him made her catch feelings when he probably helped support her emotionally a bit (its hard not to if people are dumping emotional baggage on you without you looking like a butt). Her flirting and it working a lot probably thought she would be fine doing this to OP/he would go for it. Also if Op doesn't want to tell anyone from work, he should record incidents down, espeically when traveling or who could have been a witness, or have her admitting her wrong doings in text or email for evidence that she admitted to doing those things in case he needs to bring it up to HR. He needs proof and I hope the reason he isn't saying anything aymore isn't because his life went to hell in a handbasket but because he got a new job/doesn't have to worry about her or he forgot his password or something. (imagine if he made it on a company email tho and HR found the post/account, that would be an interesting plot twist and also explain why he wouldn't have access to it anymore (cuz its using a work email for personal stuff which is probs a no no).

@@ScarabDso.. what is your point exactly? Is it that men need better sex education? Need to be better educated about consent? About the rights and wrongs? And where do you think that starts? A friend of mine, that’s 42 today, told me last year about how our English teacher in high school invited him often to her place, to “correct papers” but really was about fvcking her. He was 15 (and a late, late bloomer I might add!), and she was late 30’s. He sees this as an achievement, he’s proud of it, and wears it like a medal almost. I was disgusted, he was shocked that I was that disgusted. The guy has 4 children, 3 boys 1 girl, so I confronted him about “what if it happened to one of your sons? How would feel about it and what would you do?”.. he didn’t have much of an answer 😣 incapable of dissociating himself from his “positive” experience and be a responsible father to his boys, to teach them what’s right and wrong. Imagine. Thats how it’s never resolved. That’s why men get aroused when in such situations. Because of the toxicity that is still not addressed properly in 2023. I have a solution: it starts with them, men, and THEIR education and toxic masculinity! Men need to step up and teach their SONS about this, about what’s acceptable and what isn’t. A vast, VAST majority of boys that have slept with their dreamy hot teacher in high school (:legally SA/raped) will think very positively of their experience, see it as a “high accomplishment”, they’ll even brag about it to their friends, carry this their entire lives as a badge of honour, it will even make them feel good/better about themselves, give them self confidence and will NEVER, even refuse, to see the gross illegality of what happened to them… all because she’s “hot”, it’s “hot” that HE got to fvck her, his boys will think it’s hot and he’s THA king, and for sure none of them would ever call it for what it was, openly… because it’s still in 2023 a kink, a fetish, a boy’s dream come true. That’s a terrible cultural and educational issue, that its resolution should start with providing appropriate sex Ed to boys, not teens (that’s too late!), but boys really, at home by the parents, starting as early as 3-4 yo with learning about consent, theirs and others. Consent isn’t only for sex, it’s everywhere and about everything. [The little boy at the park didn’t want to share his sand toys with you? That’s ok, he has the right to, and you have to respect that he doesn’t consent, maybe another day will, maybe next time he sees you he’ll remember that last time you respected his non-consent, politely, which can make him want to play with you, another day, or maybe it won’t, and that’s still ok! If tou were in his shoes, you’d have the same right to say no, or yes, whatever you choose, but you will appreciate being respected and not forced to say yes when you don’t want to, just like he does today. But honey, there’s nothing you can do rn other than look for another friend to play with or make your own game 😌. ] So men, step the fvck up, and educate boys better!! Mothers can do part of it, because we need to step in for your lack or “comfort” around the subject (as if it was easier for us women to teach our sons about their bodies, about puberty, wet dreams, masturbation and their responsibility in regards to contraception!) but some part of that education really needs to come from their dad, or the kid’s most significant father figure. Take responsibility and stop dumping all of the education on mothers. But are today’s men ready for the task? Some are, but most aren’t.

You have to be very careful when traveling with a coworker of the opposite gender. That means being vigilant. You did a good job meeting her in the lobby, but then you went back on that and went into her room. You need to make a clear statement that your wife and you have an agreement that you will not go into a coworkers private room on a business trip. You could have stood in the hall or gone back to the lobby. And hotels usually. Have a business center as well. Some people even stay at a separate hotel from their opposite gender colleague, when traveling for work. You did a good job of not being in the car with her by taking care of that yourself And you were wise to limit your alcohol use. You could also begin to record your interactions with your boss, so that when she crosses the line, you have concrete proof for HR.

This was the best comment of all, reminding you to be careful as you can be, but also to record and document everything that happens, and also to do not be alone with her in your coworkers room, you can talk to her on the phone or you can meet with her in the hall and try to have other people around you when you two are meeting. You can put your phone on record without telling her what you’re doing and record every single conversation that you have and write it up as a journal entry with your date and your name and her name in a log recording what she is doing because it is blatant sexual harassment. Let’s just say that you given that you do have an affair with her, which I don’t think that you’re gonna do. Remember that movie with Demi Moore and she harassed Michael Douglas, and even snuck into his house and was trying to get him away from his wife, well, that could happen to you as well. Do not forget what you have at risk of losing. Your wife might be understanding now, but that understanding would be gone in a nanosecond. Should you get in. This needs to be reported and also I think that there’s probably a government number that you can call regarding sexual harassment cases and you can also talk to an attorney and do some preemptive strikes. If worse comes to worse, you could always leave the company. Don’t take any more work trips with her. She is a hazard and then when she mentioned that she would like to have a threesome with you and your wife, that is harassment, but I don’t think she meant really a threesome. I think she meant it to someone you’re it. You have to get a shiny spine and stand up for yourself and don’t be such a chicken because she’s perceiving that you are weak and vulnerable and she’s gonna play on that until the end comes. Also, do not keep this as a secret because the secret will kill you and your marriage. count your blessings and start documenting ASAP. Especially with a recording device and you could even put cameras in your office. I take this very very seriously. Good luck.

S1) Well I can she why she's divorced. OP you need to got straight to your manager and HR with anything that's in text. You want to get ahead of this before even confronting her cause odds are she could spin it as you being the harasser. Never be alone around her again. If possible get transferred to a different team/ location. If she tries to escalate or push things you already have an documentation with HR. See what the consent for recording for is where you're at to get it recorded her behavior as well as you telling her your not interested. Also you should have stopped her the moment she started heading for that boundary. She now sees her advances as acceptable because they weren't shot down before. If you feel you'd face retaliation go above your work station and talk to an EEO representative. The most important thing is to document the harassment while your case is being made. Retaliation is illegal especially if your being harassed regardless of gender. If possible start looking for where else you can apply because they may make the workstation hostile seeing as they've had unfounded issues before hand. If you have anything that documents that be ready to hand it over to your EEO representative. See about bringing a sister or a friend along. She was so grossly over the line. OP you should've stuck to your guns. You need to document this, go to HR and file a complaint. If you need a representative there make it someone from the EEO offices. Don't just rug sweep this or transfer without making you case known. She could very well make you out to be the villian. Vile beings like her deserve to be exposed. S2) Being pregnant is never an excuse. Not sorry to say. If she wants something she's capable enough to speak it. I'm glad you two were able to work this out but you still have issues if she expects to pampered. Maybe look into PPD when this passes as well as therapy both couples and individual.

Peanut butter on 1 piece bread folded over was the only way I could stand to drink milk to help the baby. Hubby found vegetables that helped with nutrients by reading best diet in the book what to be expecting or something like that. We finally gained a bit of weight 25 pounds overall. Had a healthy tiny baby. 6.5 lbs He ate constantly. Then my poor husband was trying to feed me again as I lost more weight from breast feeding. That was 22 years ago. Scary and blissful time. It would be better if patients were directed to a nutritionist and then the nutritionist can let the doctor know of any potential issues that could be concerning as the pregnancy progresses. I hope their little one is doing good now. He or she would be about the same age as my son going by when this was posted. I threw up multiple times almost daily for 7 out of 9 months, so I had to force myself to eat every time I puked because I was afraid the baby would be undernourished. I had to do trial and error several times to figure out what I could keep down, and it kept changing. If I had someone feeding me it would have been a load of stress off,but my husband can't cook.

S2: Why doesn’t she feed herself? She’s a grown, capable adult, not an infant. If she’s hungry, she can either a) tell you what she wants ahead of time (super easy road!) or b) make/order something for herself. Feeding her is not your responsibility even if she is pregnant. I’m petty, but if I were OP I’d be tempted to turn it back on her. Wife, pouting: “I’m hungry and you didn’t feed me!” OP, as he walks by, “I’m hungry and you didn’t feed ME, either.” I mean, what’s with her suddenly wanting him to feed her? Does she have some kind of new, baby kink?

@@er-ha I watched the whole thing. He also says she’s often indecisive about what to eat and would pass it off on him to decide. Her asking him to feed her is a new thing since being pregnant. Cravings aside, I still stand by my vote: she’s a grown ass adult able to walk her happy butt to the kitchen and grab a bowl of cereal or something. Is it what she’s craving? Probably not, but neither is what he’s making since he has to play Guess The Dinner. If she just wants something to eat - she’s more than capable of getting something. Anything.

@@KE-hr4sb He also said they both usually try to “pass it off” to the other to decide what is being eaten. As I said, almost certainly she doesn’t know what she’s craving and during pregnancy when your hormones are out of whack, that can be stressful. If her response to that is simply not eating because she’s indecisive (definitely how some people react; common among people with ADHD for example), surely he would he thinking (more clearly) of the baby? @@er-ha Again, I did watch the whole thing. I don’t think it’s that she’s not feeling good, because she’s not saying “you didn’t tuck me in” or “you didn’t bathe me;” it’s only the food thing. It sounds like she has this weird new thing about being fed, specifically, but the way she says it almost makes it sound like she’s reverting into a child. Regardless, I’ve had three full term pregnancies. My morning sickness was so severe I had to be put on meds to keep me from losing too much weight. I had a few other issues that put me in the high-risk category, and I still didn’t demand to be hand fed. In fact, during my third, my husband was working out of state, and I had to take care of two toddlers and myself, while pregnant, on my own. Pregnancy takes a huge toll on your body, absolutely. Were there days I didn’t want to get out of bed? Yes, but I had little ones depending on me (as OP’s wife is going to soon). Was I so exhausted I had to set alarms to wake me up so I wouldn’t sleep through feeding the baby? Yes. But I took care of it, and myself, because I’m an adult, not a child. Is it ok to take care of your spouse when they are sick or pregnant? Absolutely. But if she didn’t feel good, she should have used her words. Ugh I don’t know why it just really bugged me the way she handled it. It felt childish and almost passive aggressive.

"Oh she sat in a suggestive way to 'make' you look down her shirt?" "She hovered over you to look at your screen, she was just checking your work," and the hotel room moment is a he said she said at best. Or she'd straight up deny it happened. I was trying not to say too much because I sometimes do then y'all make me create the longest comment in the history of KZbin WTF 🤣🤣 I'm kidding. I love giving the people what they want. If you ever want the recipe just ask I edited a recipe from Christie at home. I eyeballed the ingredients, used less for the batter because I made less chicken. Marinate 10 minutes to overnight. I marinated from about 8 a.m. to 2p.m. I don't math in public, so not sure how long that is. Chicken marinade: pinch of rice vinegar and mirin ¼ teaspoon black pepper 1.5 teaspoon regular soy sauce 1 tablespoon garlic minced ½ teaspoon salt Korean fried chicken batter: 2.5 cups tapioca starch aka Tapioca Flour depending on the brand. You can also sub with potato starch or cornstarch. I used cornstarch. 1 teaspoon onion powder 2 teaspoon garlic powder 3 teaspoon curry powder 1 teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon black pepper 2 teaspoon baking powder 1 ¼ cups water cold Sauce ▢1 tablespoon soy sauce ▢3 tablespoons rice wine or mirin. I used mirin ▢2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar or rice wine vinegar. I used rice vinegar ▢1 tablespoon gochujang, 고추장 (Korean red chili pepper paste) Omit for a mild version and add 1 more tablespoon soy sauce (Also see note) ▢3 tablespoons honey or corn or rice syrup (use 4 tablespoons) ▢2 teaspoons sesame oil ▢2 tablespoons brown sugar ▢1 teaspoon minced garlic ▢1 teaspoon grated ginger ▢pinch pepper I added a little bit of gotchu Korean hot sauce as well. Ooey gooey bars You can use any variation of yellow or butter cake mix, but I've been using homemade recently. I like the texture more. If you're using box just use the mix, 1 egg, 1 stick of butter. I made a small portion so used about half these ingredients. I eyeballed it. You really can't mess this up. DRY INGREDIENTS FOR CAKE MIX 2 1/2 cups (325g) all purpose flour 2 cups (414g) sugar 3 tsp baking powder 1 tsp salt To the dry mix above add 1 egg and 1 stick of butter, half if you want a smaller portion. Put the crust into a pan lined with parchment paper. 1 stick cream cheese, 2 eggs, powdered sugar to taste, probably 3-4 cups, pinch of vanilla. Half the portion if making half. I mix with a handmixer and pour over the crust. Bake on 350 the full portion will take at least 40 minutes, but check on it. Can take closer to 60. A half portion will be about 30 minutes, but check it. You want it to be slightly congealed in the center, if it's still liquid it'll never set. Know from experience. Still delicious, but sooo messy. Check it with a toothpick.

@bunnyslippers191 something I've learned from love is that you have more patience than that for these types of things, when you really love someone, not to mention have your son/ daughter grow inside of them, nuturing them and creating your legacy, you learn to do more. I know it seems unreasonable to ask for things when you are a grownup and can do it yourself, but this is his wife who is creating his family. She is worth more than a few nuts for lunch, lol. Yes, she can do it herself, but she's already doing a lot growing a baby in her. It would be kind if he could offer a bit more food something truly filling. It's not that you have to 100% rely on someone to feed you. It's the act of love they offer to you. That's what is important. He is the protector and provider of the family (anyone can be, but in this case, keep an open mind). He can give love and patience to her, and that's something you simply have to have when you start a family.

I love how one commenter temporarily derailed the conversation about sexual harassment to go on about MRAs derailing conversations via stating that women can be harassers too… to then insult the female boss committing sexual harassment because she gives MRAs reason to state what they do. So you’re angry that a woman is harassing a man NOT because that’s wrong but because she proves men right about their claims?

That commenter probably experienced some things that prompted it; we don't know. But they didn't disregard what OP was saying - not at all. I think there was a lot of emotional baggage with her comment, and they may have known or know a man or young man who faced SA from a female supervisor. It sounds to me like they're in the middle of figuring out how to rearrange their new beliefs based on new experiences. I reckon she was probably a hardcore feminist at one point, but one view-opposing experience was enough to shatter that "patriarchy" perception. I say this as someone who has had a similar experience, except with politics. Needless to say, after finding out the dems were a bunch of nut balls and the GOP were... still reprehensible goofballs. Yeah, the transition is usually horribly awkward. Always evolve!

@@DullestStar9299 The problem is that, if I'm going to be blunt about things, that commenter has her biases and doesn't want to have to admit that the people she hates have a point. People pointing out that men and women suffer the same problems are not 'derailing' the conversation... unless the only conversation you want to have is about one gender being unique victims of a situation. It doesn't mean that they can't take it as a learning experience, but rather that they're NOT taking it as a learning experience (yet).

I find it funny how people are so different with pregnancy. Two friends of mine were scatterbrained (we called it "pregnancy brain" and it was contaigous lol), while my sister on the other hand, might as well have been her normal calm self for both her pregnancies.

Story 1: That's borderline sexual harrassment-
@akl2k7
@akl2k7 Жыл бұрын
Not borderline. Imagine if the sexes were reversed and a guy had a female coworker come to his room for papers and went to the bathroom. Then he came out wearing a bathrobe and wouldn't let her leave. While she's trying to escape, his bathrobe opens up, exposing his schlong. Nothing borderline about it.

Story 1: That one comment said it all. Why is it, as a society, for us to come together online and bash on male sexual harassment but we're told we should tip toe and be understanding to female sexual harassment? This topic came up during a really messed up photo-op during the premier of Twilight movie three where the entire crowd was nothing but 40+ year old men screaming and fawning over a 24 year old female actor. Why do we celebrate girl boss when if we changed the sexes, we're grossed out and horrified by a similar photo-op of nothing but 40+ year old men screaming and fawning over a 24 year old female actor? The point: Sexual harassment is sexual harassment. Even when it's male on male and they're both gay, even if it's female on female and they're both lesbian. Fuck that disgusting woman and the power privilege she had over someone subordinate to her. Heck, get rid of the sex labels and read the story from there! If it's disgusting and pro-harrasser for one, the other is also pro-harrasser. Edit: Story 2: So OP and his spouse (after hearing their meals) are vegetarians who never tried to meal prep before?

S1) that's all kinds of messed up, and that supervisor needs to lose her job, and probably find another career. I feel so bad for op there. He should absolutely report her. S2) while pregnancy is not an excuse to be pampered, it is absolutely, as one commenter said, a hormonal minefield. You sometimes have no idea what you want, but you want -something-. Protein is big. Consuming things like yogurt, cheese etc goes a long way in helping that constant hunger. When I was pregnant, it was all of the dairy, and I was lucky enough to have a partner who braved a snowstorm or two for my pistachio ice cream or queso dip cravings.

Story 1: That's just awful! I feel so badly for OP. I'm glad he communicated to his wife throughout the entire ordeal. I really really wish he would have reported his manager, but I know it would be hard to prove and he would probably wind up just losing his job and that's disgusting all around. Why do people keep doing this to subordinates? It's disgusting! And why do people put the burden on the one getting harassed to prevent their own harassment. That is disgusting, too! Story 2: Glad they realized their nutrition was awful. It is difficult to be your normal self with those horrible hormones effing with your head. And if you don't eat right during pregnancy, you will pay for it afterward in the loss of hair, teeth, nails, etc. Your organs will also suffer. I was fortunate, though, because my husband was on top of nutrition for both my pregnancies. He was some kind of food crusader, borderline nuts lol. I visibly lost weight my first pregnancy during the first trimester because I was so sick. When I was finally able to eat again, he lost his mind coming home with every kind of food trying to get me to eat constantly lol. He'd make me these mini-meals of every kind of food group in the hopes I could eat 80% of it. I didn't realize that not everyone gets this treatment from their spouse.

Story one: do they have hr at this company? He should keep his phone on record and then go to HR with the sexual harassment complaint. If they don't believe him, he could play the recording. This is a trick sometimes used in court, Where a non-consensual recording can be used to expose a lie the other person is making. But this guy didn't get a spy cam for his office or anything, just shows how not proactive he is about the situation. He's not angry, just scared. Story about the pregnant wife: don't forget this diet after the baby is born because a nursing mother needs a lot more food than a Non-nursing mother. Also, you have a child in the house now and you need to set a very good example. Keep your healthy diet for the future and so your child is fed nutritionally complete meals and learns to cook those meals for themselves. It starts early if you want to launch your child into adulthood with success.

My advice for story two is to make like 3 different casseroles, divide them in halfs, and freeze half. Clearly pregnant lady has got pregnant food brain. Haha sounds like she’s craving hot food with savory flavors. Having casserole she can just microwave and eat a big portion of until dinner is ready would hopefully help.

1) I hope OP has documented all the inappropriate actions and comments on her part, and he needs to speak up about how some of her comments are inappropriateness and unprofessional and how it could cause a problem for her professionally. I think if the dinner she set up really was not for more than herself and OP, if he shows up and it's just the two of them, he should act like this was just a surprise and say, since they did not sho up he is glad to excuse himself and go call his wife. After update: This is terrible and I do hope OP finds another job and reports her to the company, her sexual harassment is so out of line. Get an attorney. 2) NTA, not a mindreader and it is reasonable to ask what she wants, and she is not incapable of feeding herself or giving specifics. Being pregnant can really mess with a person physically and emotionally, just give options and let her choose to make it easier on both. After update: It's so good OP has looked into how to eat better for supporting pregnancy and had figured out how to make this situation work better for them both and the baby.

It really is infuriating the absolute cowardice of the guy who is getting harassed at work. He goes on a trip and his intuition is just literally screaming to not go back to her room but he ignores it like he has ignored it every other time, and what he was trying to avoid ends up happening... just like he knew it was, but tried to brush it off and still went to the room anyhow. Then when she is standing there without any clothing on instead of saying how uncomfortable he is and pushing her out of the way to leave, he just stands around looking the opposite direction like a total fool... when he should have left when she came out in a bathrobe like he said he was going to. So many chances to not go up to the room or to leave before that even happened, but he was such a coward. Sometimes you really just need to be direct and upfront with these people and stand up for your damn self like an adult should instead of trying to avoid confrontation like so many cowards tend to do nowadays. That will never lead to anything good whatsoever. Stop being a cowardly fool and be an adult. This is life, you will have to deal with confrontations, so get over it and handle it like a grown adult instead of trying to avoid it like a total coward and then having a total meltdown when the situation actually happens like an idiot. Just shameful and embarrassing that guy is. FFS! COWARD! GROW A PAIR DUDE!

Look into the recording laws in your area. If you don’t need second party consent, record & document EVERYTHING. Male several copies. I’d say to eat garlic. Lots of it. But that might cause issues with clients. Never drop your guard. Don’t take any food or drink if she’s anywhere near it & never leave anything unattended around her. You probably should have a simple code you can text your wife so she can call you “urgently”. IE: you can text “9” to her. Then your wife will know to immediately call you with some minor “emergency”. Get an attorney & ask if, when you get your job, if you can/should let HR know what she did... you may save someone else from being se*ually harassed.
