Why should anyone believe you compared to Jesus?
@walterdaems573 жыл бұрын
@@whatistruth6375 that’s a very good point. Nobody should believe anything. Believing was a necessary step in evolution to transmit knowledge. A process that’s repeated in the upbringing of children but at a certain age we expect children to think and experience for themselves. Believing is the enemy of truth searching. If you believe what someone is telling you, there’s absolutely no reason not to believe somebody or something else. ‘Believe me’ is also the first phrase of every conman. So no, you shouldn’t believe me, or anything or anybody else. Think and experience for yourself.
@walterdaems573 жыл бұрын
@@whatistruth6375 it’s also the reason why ‘believers’ are on a life long chain to convince like minded and others of their belief. Mainly in an attempt to keep convincing themselves. You don’t see anti theists shouting on corners of streets, ringing door bells to spread ‘the word’ and neither do we need churches, cathedrals, popes and priests to keep a fairytale alive. It’s also the reason why some muslims become Christians, or Hindu or Moron and vice versa. If you fall for one story, why not fall for another one that’s more in line with your current situation if, for example, you fall in love with somebody who believes in another fairytale. If you chose to believe, there’s a story for everyone in the basket of the at present approximately 4.300 different religions. You can even choose to believe in some alien leader if you become Scientologist. Seneca: ‘for common people religion is true, for wise men false and for rulers useful.’ That’s says it all.

Here is a simple test to know what Hell is like: What is it like without meaning or purpose? Try to not think or do anything with meaning and purpose, it is very difficult because you will start to suffer. You will then create some thought with meaning or do some act with purpose so you stop suffering. God created us for a purpose and gave us meaning, if you ultimately reject that meaning and purpose God gave you, you will lose it along with your ability to create your own purpose that you have in this life. This will leave you with no meaning and purpose and that state of suffering you feel without it.

It's interesting to hear Cliffe talk about this 'day of judgement' where when we die, it seems we get to stand in front of God and he judges us for our sins. Something I've often pondered is, as it stands here and now, I cannot see any credible evidence for God, I'm certainly not rebelling against him, or deliberately denying his existence, I *genuinely* do not see any credible evidence, period. So will I be condemned for being honest in my rejection of Jesus ( whom i also see very little evidence of). Surely, if God did exist, he would/could make his presence known to me beyond a shadow of doubt. It seems ( according to this 'day of judgement') God will only appear in front of me when I die, so i only get to find out 100% he exists when I'm dead.

bonnie43uk What do you consider to be "credible evidence"?
@bonnie43uk8 жыл бұрын
mister bojangles well, that's a good question. For me personally, if I witnessed someone with an incurable disease like, lets say someone with severe Spina bifida,be healed by a Christian healer, then that would suffice as credible evidence.
@ikenga028 жыл бұрын
bonnie43uk So you do not believe the eyewitness testimony of others? Should someone believe you if you told them that you witnessed someone be healed?
@bonnie43uk8 жыл бұрын
mister bojangles Well, if I witnessed a healing and told others, they are certainly not duty bound to believe me. This is part of the problem with Christianity, you are being asked to believe in something on the say so of others. Let me ask you misterbojangles, could God heal a spina bifida sufferer, or a person who's been blind from birth, or an amputee?, you show me credible proof of such a healing and I will certainly stand up and take notice.
@ikenga028 жыл бұрын
bonnie43uk Documented eye witness testimony is what I call credible evidence. Historical documentation is a credible branch of knowledge, heck eye witness testimony is used in the court of law. This is the historical eye witness testimony of Matthew: Matthew 9:27-30 "And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us. [28] And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. [29] Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. [30] And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it ." Matthew 12:10-13 And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him. [11] And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out? [12] How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days. [13] Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other.

I know how much "information" a person needs to be held responsible by God for their acceptance or rejection of Yeshua/Jesus. God/Jesus created existence. Therefore, the energy/spirit/information of Jesus/God is physically/materially inside us all at conception. So, it doesn't matter where we are born in the world, we all can perceive the presence/spirit/energy of God/Yeshua/Jesus internally (and externally). On average the Age of Reason is around seven years old. The all-knowing God takes our context into consideration. Everybody who has ever lived has had the opportunity to accept or reject the spirit/energy/Information of this Yeshua/Jesus/God at least by our individual Age of Reason. See, that was easy. God knows this and you know this. 🤗

Sin is what people commit against one another as well as themselves even but God allows it, meaning He doesn't intervene and take suffering out of the human equation. Here, take a rich man, he has all the money in the world and has had it all his life, from birth even. So this man has not a single need that he isn't able to obtain because he has all the money in the world to buy it. You may say money can't buy you love, peace, or whatever but then again his love for money will take the place of these things, that's just what money does. Well here is my point, what is the likelihood that this man will ever come to a point where he will ever accept Christ but more importantly depend on Christ to provide his needs? Scripture expounds on this when Jesus says that it is harder for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to see the Kingdom of God! This is why God allows suffering in my opinion, suffering is the only thing that will humble a haughty spirit. Before you think it, no God did not cause suffering nor does He find pleasure in suffering but for it to work out well for us He allows it to happen!

If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

And its your choice if you want to go to hell. If you want to live life apart from God, God will grant you your wish. Hell is not so much a fiery furnace. Hell is the separation from God. The presence of God is so overwhelmingly perfect, that the polar opposite of not being in God's presence is surely likened to being a fiery furnace, because nothing else can be more painful than being apart from God for eternity.
