The mathematical possibility of all the bad things that happened in my life can be called consequences of my own actions because I have a choice. It is hard for me now to use the Holy Name of The Creator because I take blasphemy ever so seriously than before. My pain and sadness are with me and probably for the rest of my life here on earth. I have seen, I believe, miracles so I sticked to the bible and obeyed the new testament and then I saw 1 John 5:14 which to paraphrase says if we pray according to God's will then He hears us. Someone indoctrinated you!

" Using you definition of indoctrination, I'd love to hear how you got there "figured out atheism by yourself". Someone influenced you and you use other people's arguments to support your ideas. "So if you know what indoctrination means it would mean that I was taught that young to be this way." Indoctrination (as defined in a quick Google search) - The process of teaching a person or group to accept a set of beliefs uncritically. Who are you to say that Stuart was taught uncritically? Obviously you see the thought process behind what Cliffe is teaching. Stuart even admitted that he almost left the faith when he went to college. "Would love to hear why you think I was indoctrinated based off what I explained?" You are indoctrinated if we use your definition. Obviously, I don't think you are indoctrinated using the real definition. I don't think either you or Stuart are indoctrinated. Both of you have thought out your position and have a stance. I just think you don't understand what indoctrination is and are using it incorrectly.

You are just using words improperly. "Do you think that he is teaching his son critically about looking into Christianity? " Of course. Again, his son went to college. His son is an adult. His son has his own family. His son has free will to choose whatever he wants. He has studied all different religions and atheist authors and still believes. If Cliffe is repeatedly telling his audience to "think folks", of course he taught and allowed his children to think critically. You can't force anyone to be Christian. Just bc you believe someone has been indoctrinated does not mean they have been. There are brilliant intellectuals who believe in God. Were they indoctrinated? "What did you think my explanation of indoctrination was? You never asked for my definition..." You specifically said.... "So if you know what indoctrination means it would mean that I was taught that young to be this way." Again, that is not what indoctrination is. Again, if we use your definition of indoctrination then everyone has been indoctrinated into some form of belief (whether it be religion, food, love, hate, etc...) because we were all taught young to be a certain way. My question to you is, if there is no God, what's wrong with indoctrinating anyone and who says indoctrination is wrong?

@@theoskeptomai2535 yes, just as its possible this conversation is a dream you are having. So where does the evidence lead you, IF you dont have an agenda beyond truth seeking? Science cannot prove history, Philosophy cannot prove maths. All these matter but within context and reason. So it is possible you know something i dont? Of course, then is it equally possible I know something you dont? Equally true. So lets say you know 50% of everything, is it possible GOD exists in the 50% you dont know? Very likely. If that is the mathematical truth then, combining logic, reason and keeping an open mind towards the evidence and not forcing your world view based on what you wish but rather what ACTUALLY is true, then there DEFINITELY is a chance GOD exists and you just havent either a) given enough chance to it because of your personal world views, b) because you cant admit you would rather be in charge than GOD or c) you truly dont want truth but to just live life based on your own persona subjective world views. I dont pretend to know much, but based on 33 yrs of existence and truth seeking, genuine truth seeking, debunking ALL my world views, I have come to a very simple basic fact. As 2plus2 equals 4, I know GOD exists. Now the second step is what kind of GOD? Thats for you to decide based on the evidence you are willing to look at and ask yourself, who is truthworthy based on their actions NOT fancy lovey doevy tree hugger words. If you respect truth you will dig deep and learn what came from where, who created it and why it got pushed onto society and became popular. It took me YEARS to figure this out, figure out i have been lied to, the intellectualism is not the be all and end all but a small part of the whole. I hope you appreciate i couldnt possibly explain more in a yt comment section. If you truly want truth, have no horse in the race, dont side yourself with any team, left or right, ask GOD for truth and you will be surprised, but thats IF you are willing to challenge and debunk your established world views. Cliffe has his go-to answers, which I like to come back to as I watch, and exercise additional knowledge I can use for deeper reflection as well. He had science on its limits at the end there. And history. I have found myself getting at the detailed aspects, since it´s about empirical methods, of which "science" uses some kinds, and actually that "science" IS a form of philosophy, natural philosophy. History´s main method is historiography, and CAN draw on "science" for some things, if it were to identify some thing or the other. Cliffe made some mention of psychology, and all of those subjects are good to bring up. Most of all, there is the issue that the History of University education goes back to the monk T Aquinas at the U of Paris, including "science."

Genesis is thought to be one of the first OT books to be written down circa.1400 BC. It is possible that prior to this, books were preserved through generations via oral traditions. Historical artefacts include the dead sea scrolls dated 400bc - 300ad) and the Ketef Hinnom Silver Scrolls dated 600 BC. The birds (most likely the species with the scientific name Genyornis newtoni) memorialized in this tale are now long extinct. Yet the story of the Tjapwurung’s “tradition respecting the existence” of these birds conveys how people pursued the giant animals. At the time of this particular hunt, between 5,000 and 10,000 years ago, volcanoes in the area were erupting, wrote amateur ethnographer James Dawson in his 1881 book Australian Aborigines, and so scientists have been able to corroborate this oral history by dating volcanic rocks."

Imagine they tell you "you have to be informed that you have no personal value in our society, you'll never get away, and we're keeping you alive as an example of why we are so privileged not to be you." It's a horrible thought experiment even though this kind of thing has happened during revolutions such as Pol Pot's. But if you really go into it sincerely, you have to ask yourself how you would hold to the conviction that you are meaningful/important/valued.

Shakespeare lived and died 200 years before anyone ever mooted the idea of evolution. In none of his plays or poems does he ever attempt to explain why there is something instead of nothing. The bible does attempt to address that subject, and, it gets it so wrong that at this distance we can only look back at the Christian creation myth and laugh at its utter irrelevance to the reality of our universe and its origins. It is also nauseating how Cliff tries to smuggle God into science. How does HE know that God "used chemistry and science" to create the universe. We know chemistry exists because it has been demonstrated. When has that been done for a god? Cliff is also a LIAR. Science DOES contradict the bible. It refutes and makes a nonsense of biblical claims. Very simply, the bible says a supernatural being willed our planet into existence in six days. Science has discovered that the planet formed as part of the suns accretion disc over billions of years. If people don't see the CONTRADICTION there then they are just not looking. Don't even get me started on the Adam and Eve fable. The bible has about as much in common with science as Star Trek does with NASA

'Day' in the Bible is the Hebrew word 'Yom'. It has the same range of meaning. For example: " In that day, they did so and so. " So day does not have to be 24 hour earthly day. By the way, science came into being because of Christianity. The Hebrew-Christian God made universal laws and things work according to these laws. No other culture created research science because their cosmology posed eternalism and or capricious gods or minds. An atheist professor didn't believe this and held that Chinese culture could have brought about science. He investigated and finally admitted that his idea was false. You certainly don't understand the Bible - and to be honest, no Bible student understands it all - but you might want to open your mind and look at people like Astrophysicist Hugh Ross who is an avid and devout Christian and not a young Earther. Never assume your reading or what you heard is correct. Investigate those who contradict your assertions with reason. Sarah Salviander is a physicist who became a theist because of her scientific work and became a Christian afterwards. She was raised as an atheist. sarahsalviander.com/ Happy hunting.

The pioneers of science in the West at the time of the Enlightenment were all Christians. To be anything else would have meant social ostracization or even execution. Why do people claim they believe in Jesus when they don't? For example John 14:21 "Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and SHOW MYSELF to them.” I can literally see Jesus's infinite bearded face. I have thousands of examples on my channel. Modern "fail Christians" have to add, change or take away from that verse so it makes sense to them. I call them "fail Christians" because unlike me they continue to sin, and they teach others to do so, even though Jesus and the apostles say we need to be perfect and we need to stop sinning. Matthew 5:48 "But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect." 1: John 3:6 " No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him." Despite clear indication that Jesus let's us literally SEE HIM upon obeying him Modern Fail Christians still feel it's their right to continue in sin. When was the last time you heard the full quote of the complete good news in a Modern Fail Christian church? John 6:40 "For it is my father's will that all who SEE/BEHOLD/CAST THEIR GAZE ON his son and believe in him shall have eternal life and I will raise them on the last day." Despite seeing HIM being half the key to eternal life, Modern Fail Christianity mocks me for witnessing that I literally see Jesus's infinite bearded face even though I have PROVIDED AMPLE PROOF to prove this fact. Does Modern Fail Christianity believe Jesus will become very fat to see him like the lightning when it flashes lights up everything under the sky? What foolishness! Luke 17:24 "For the Son of Man in his day will be like the lightning, which flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other." My testimony of seeing his infinite bearded face is obviously the more logical answer. The gospel is full of examples of Jesus saying some would see him, but Modern Fail Christianity always twists his words to hold on to their sins to their own demise. Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart for the shall see God. (In Matthew 5:8 Modern Fail Christians either add to the word of God and say he meant " after we die" or they simply change the verb see to understand, although it still doesn't make any sense. Do we say "I see Obama" or "I see what Obama is saying"? ( Modern Fail Christians are literally falling for "The oldest trick in the book!" It might as well be the same trick the Devil used against Eve! "Did Jesus really say that he'd show himself to those who obey him?" So, all of the fail Christians disbelieve without reason.) And Jesus clearly said that some would see him coming before they die. Matthew 16:28 “Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.” Modern Fail Christianity says Matthew 16:28 refers to the transfiguration. What a joke! First of all Jesus said "some would see" not "a few of you" (Peter, John and James). Second, you think "The Kingdom" consists of just Elijah and Moses? What a foolish misunderstanding! Jesus letting us see his omnipresent bearded face upon obedience is obviously the one and only true understanding, which leads us to the two foundations of actually following Jesus which are 1)Jesus is God and good, 2) obey him!

We have to admit to the reality that there are different Christians. Some are strong and flourishing in their faith, others are weak and barely making it. This does not mean that a stronger brother has a right to diminish and discourage a weaker brother. Now of course the question is, where goes the line between a weaker brother who struggles with some wrong habit or behavior and a false brother who is not even saved. The answer is we do not always know it, this is why we have to be extremely careful before accusing. One thing what i understood long time ago is that if you are a stronger brother, who has a living and vivid relationship with Jesus, who is sanctified from all the sinful habits, dont boast about it, dont think there was something you did and therefore you have such a good relationship with Him. No, it was not you, it was God showing mercy on you.

Hi. I have had a quick look at your videos because I am always interested when someone says they have seen Jesus/God, now, I don't wish to disillusion you or anything and I'm not saying you are definitely not seeing Jesus, for all I know for absolutely sure, maybe you are seeing him and if so, good for you but what I would suggest is a more likely explanation is that it's your brain making patterns out of things that seem to resemble faces. For example, I myself see "faces" on walls and in certain places for a moment, it's actually quite a common phenomenon. You can sometimes actually bring it about with some effort, try the following experiment to show what I mean. If you look at any wall for a while, especially if it's got lots of cracks and dents on it and I bet you will come across something that will appear to resemble a face and with a bit of imagination you can kind of make it look like someone you know, or even the classical bearded Jesus, which I guess you probably do anyway. This, in my opinion, offers a much more rational explanation for what you are seeing and for the record, I don't necessarily think you are crazy or a fool, I'm sure you're not, I just think that what you are seeing is what your brain is making and it fits in with your Christian beliefs, that is what I think is going on. Other people DO see the same things as you, they do see the "faces", I see them too but most of us won't consider it to be anything more than a coincidental resemblance. Sometimes things can just inadvertently look like something else or someone else. This is what I would ask myself, let's say Jesus was real and he wanted to show himself, OK, so why would it have to be through some other existing object? Why can Jesus not just appear in his own space and show himself? That would be a lot more convincing than having his face seem to appear on everyday objects which could be very easily explained. Thanks.

The problem is when you accuse other religions of brainwashing without proof in the same manner as atheists accuse Evangelicals. @michaelbabbitt3837
@michaelbabbitt3837 2 жыл бұрын
First you must define 'brainwashing'. Good luck getting agreement on that word. Truth seeking is different. If I seek the truth with a good faith effort and don't dismiss ideas just because I don't like what they demand of me, then I can be successful. I examine the evidence and the reasoning behind each religion or worldview. For my money, brainwashing is teaching only one thing and not allowing any valid, credible challenge to be addressed respectfully. The Mormons use a book that asserts historical events that have never been demonstrated to be evidentially true and scholars have left it after not a single piece of supporting evidence was found. The JWs alter the Greek in the New Testament in order to promote their views. Their translation is contrary to accepted Greek interpretation. And, by the way, the university today is mostly a Leftist brainwashing institution - only their view of life, gender, and science are allowed. They are in many ways a religious cult seminary. Many do not allow any credible, contrary views - you will be penalized by professors and students if you stray from their orthodoxy. I have an MA in Comp. Religion but I got it in the 90s when free-thinking was still allowed and respected.
@boltrooktwo
@boltrooktwo 2 жыл бұрын
There is disagreement about wither there is supporting evidence for the Book of Mormon. To say there is no evidence is an exaggerated claim that shows a blinding bias. There is plenty of motivation to dismiss it because it challenges the hundreds of interpretations of the Bible through Sola Scriptura that gives people the justification to make religious practice about following their own lusts of self-importance, virtue-signaling, and a scholarly study of soteriology, a religion of power focused on “is the self saved from the least effort possible with the least belief required.” It follows the pattern set out in Jude 1: 4, that makes much religious practice about personal power and not a religion of love focused on service to others, even those who can’t earn it. Many make religious worship also incoherent by making the image of God obscured from humanity describing God the Father as “immaterial and completely other” this causes confusion with John 14: 6 and the goal of the religious path to be a child of God. The standard given by Christ is to “be ye perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect.” If it was anything less there would be reasonable room for a better standard.

@Our Savior because I’m not saying your life is meaningless. They are the ones saying that other peoples lives are meaningless for not following their belief system. I think that’s absolutely asinine. It shows more that they are terrified if their religion isn’t true. They have no clue what it would be like to NOT believe in the bible. Cliff even says all the time that if the resurrection isn’t true, he’s a fool for believing in it all. But he can’t go back. He’s put too much time into this and clearly believes his faith without a shadow of a doubt. That confidence he speaks with … I almost want to commend him for. Nonetheless, his philosophies are founded on the premise that his holy book is written by the creator of the universe. And that - to this point, is unfounded.

Without God humans are an accidental by-product of the purposeless universe. There is no reason for human existence and death is at the end. Without God humans are just biorobots making decisions without a standard of good or evil and if they do, it is just a social or personal, relative construct. Meaning is constructed on your own. Without God humans have no hope of immortality and life leads only to the grave. Life is but a spark in the infinite blackness, that appears, flickers, and dies forever. Without God even if they could live forever, human life would be sheer vanity without purpose as there is no right and wrong except as a social construct. Without God then natural selection dictates that the male of the species is the dominant and aggressive one. Women would no more have rights than a female goat or chicken have rights. Without God euthanasia is fine, sickly or weak or people having views contrary to the majority can be disposed of in the euthanasia machine... eugenics and social darwinism become the policy of the day Without God people should know life is too short to jeopardize it by acting out of anything but pure self-interest. Sacrifice for another person would be stupid. Without God people must face life bravely and create their own meaning..a Nietzsche ubermensch. But is this not self delusion? Life without God is cold and objectively meaningless; purpose is self made ..moral values leading to meaning are held on faith, how else could they be held in a purposeless universe? For a universe without moral accountability and devoid of value is unimaginably terrible.

By observing the Universe which God created (Rom. 1:20) you will know the divine nature of invisible God. God's true love was 'destroyed' , mix up with false love when the archangel seduces Eve, then Eve to Adam . For atheism , Death is when your spirit separates your own body . Another meaning of "death" is spiritual "death", that was planted in the garden of Eden. God warned them, "If you eat the fruit you will die."

Cliffe says the Gospels of Matthew Mark Luke and John are historically reliable, he's always asking the students to read them, therein lies the problem, we don't all come away with the exact same thoughts when we read the New Testament, people are incredibly diverse in how they interpret things.. I totally get that Cliffe and Stewart have bought into the Gospel stories lock stock and barrel, they believe it 100%, and that's fine. But for lots of people, these stories don't ring true, especially the supernatural elements.. they are in some ways, similar to fairy stories. It's up to us as individuals as to how we view the Gospels, .. for me, I'm not aware of many historical documents that read as fictional prose that includes magical occurrences. I can totally buy into stories of a man who preached kindness and love, and the power of forgiveness, but my credulity is severely tested when it's claimed he also performed magical acts.
@georgeochs1302
@georgeochs1302 2 жыл бұрын
Why would you think God does magical acts. Magic tricks are done as entertaiment to trick people to think it's real, that's what Satan did and does. God doesn't lie, the gospels state Jesus (God in the flesh) is the way, the truth and life! And provided his nature (Love) , shows by putting faith (Belief) in him , how we can endure the pain and suffering in this horrible world we live in can be defeated and gain eternal life. It' faith through grace by our true Father. Mankind has failed to see or obtain any meaning of life and will keep failing without a intelligent loving creator. Even if your not sure or don't believe, ask God to show you with a genuine open heart and mind. Is it going to hurt? Read the gospels, then read them again. That's how i've seen many non-believers do it, and now they have that healthy fear of God (the beginning of Wisdom) and teach others themselves now. God Bless and praying for you and everyone else.

Is it fairy tales because you are not a believer or is it fairy tales because these people didn’t actually exist? Just because you did not witness these things or they didn’t happen in your lifetime doesn’t mean that it is a fairy tale. The point that you miss that Cliffe always point out how do we know Abraham Lincoln was a real figure, George Washington and so on. We didn’t see them. So you can’t be so intellectually dishonest to discount one account because you can’t fathom it but find another account truthful because it seems more realistic for your worldly view.

Belief doesn’t equal truth, that doesn’t work in reality, so that is a fallacy to bring up diversity of opinion because it can’t invalidate a historical document and wither the events really happened. Because someone performs actions normal human beings don’t commonly perform everyday doesn’t make it magic. People perform actions today that they didn’t 50 years ago, that doesn’t make it magic. This is a false premise popularized by secular humanism that humanity is the measure of creation, which is demonstrably a bad premise. Just because you haven’t seen a human you know do something or have it reported in an institution science journal doesn’t make something impossible. Humanity isn’t responsible for most of the systems that support us, without them we would be helpless so they can be classified as greater feats then the measure of humanity can perform, like the origin of life, biological food, oil, biological chemical production, microbial atmospheric environments, cosmological movements, atmospheric climate patterns, and many other things that are things science cannot reproduce. It is preposterous to explain these things by a mere unexplained selfish drive for survival and a cycle of death to preserve useful functions. Microbes float in the air to break down waste and decaying food, not a system that happens in such perfect balance because of randomly mixed proteins. They are generated by these other systems we had no hand in building. So your classification that magic is to blame and it is some sort of imagined trick doesn’t hold up to other historical and important events we have record for unless they are also all unbelievable magic.

The Gospel: Plain and Simple “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” - 2 Corithians 11:3 Ask someone today if they are saved and you will most likely hear responses like these: “I have accepted Jesus into my heart.” Or “I have made him Lord of my life.” “I’ve been baptized.” “I said a prayer.” Sounds all good and churchy don’t it; but it is difficult to de-termine whether or not a person actually knows the gospel that saves them. These use￾less phrases don’t describe a thing about what the gospel is and has left a devastating effect of people not knowing what it is that they are saved from nor how they are saved; which leaves a more serious effect of people ques￾tioning their salvation. Let’s not muddy the simplicity of salva￾tion that is in Christ with vague church sounding phrases that do not communicate anything. But rather present God’s word with clarity and assuredness. So here is the gospel: plain and simple. Sin was passed upon all men by one man Adam, and death is a consequence of this sin (Rom 5:12). Mankind has an eternal destiny of condemnation and wrath - Hell - because of this sin (Rom 6:23). No matter what good works one might do we are still found sinners in the sight of our Creator God. And all un￾righteousness and those who follow get in￾dignation and wrath. We cannot be found righteous for by God’s law we are found sin￾ners (Rom 3:19-20). If we have broken even one law we are found guilty. It is for this reason of not being able to create our own righteousness and being born in a sinful flesh that we need a savior (Titus 3:5). Christ is that Savior, God manifested in the flesh, sinless, died in our place on a cross 2000 years ago. Taking upon him the wrath and judgement that was intended for us sin￾ners. And it is through his bloodshed, burial, and resurrection on our behalf that we are able to have peace with God and forgiveness of our sins (1 Cor 15:1-4, Col 3:14). This good news is unto all but only those that believe in it are made righteous in Christ (Romans 3:22). It is then after we have heard this good news of Christ’s righteousness available to us freely, that we are sealed with the Holy Spirit and we are now part of Christ’s body the church (Eph 1:13) There is nothing that we need to do, no good works that are required, and no bad works that can separate us from our new po￾sition in Christ (Romans 8:35-39). Faith and belief in this information from God’s word is the gospel. The gospel is not accepting Jesus into your heart. The gospel is not making him lord of your life, it is not saying a prayer and it is not being baptized with water. So next time someone asks you if you are saved. Give them the clear assured answer “Yes And let me tell you why Find more free resources at www.graceambassadors.com
