@elasiduo1084 жыл бұрын
Great game!. Barnes is a very good example of an all-out romantic era player. He immediatly goes all in with an attack, no matter the cost. He attacks with the Knight and gets some material advantage, but Morphy is only concerned with developing his pieces, which, in the end, is the soul of modern chess. Going all in is nice and all, and it's very entertaining, but it's very, very dangerous against an opponent who's only concerned with putting his pieces in the best places. That's why I think Morphy greatest advice reflects the essence of his game: "Help your pieces, so that your pieces can help you".
@hideentity15184 жыл бұрын
Total agree. I Couldn't describe it better. Barnes forget to connect his pieces. Its like he taking them to a one way journey. I like this play style but as you said its really dangerous.

The Loser will be the player who defiles the memory of our PS by EITHER: a) Developing too many pieces, OR b) Making a disgustingly defensive move.
