@GMPranav10 күн бұрын
@ Probably. But Magnus **Bot** is possibly closer to Stockfish. I am not sure how exactly they program it to be a certain strength but it certainly doesn't play like a human lol.
@eragon7810 күн бұрын
@@GMPranav It might be trained on magnus's moves, but probably not. But to be fair, a lot of these moves that dont feel human are moves that a player like Magnus could see. He plays "Bot" moves all the time. Thats kinda what happens when you're 2800+ rated, people lower rated struggle to understand the intention behind a lot of your moves, even other GMs. But that said, it probably is just like, "stockfish, but programed to make mistakes or not play the absolute most optimal move every time" or something. Or maybe its just like, Stockfish on depth 25 or something, rather than a deeper depth.
@Shisiiii10 күн бұрын
@@eragon78I'd assume that it's actually komodo, and it's probably limited to depth 20 with some pre programmed openings and some system that'd play a random move that's either the best or won't drop the evaluation below a certain threshold

Question, What is the best opening(s) for intermediate players. Been a big fan of The English, but I'm looking to expand my opening knowledge. Would love your input
@iwantcheckmate11 күн бұрын
Hey! I have played the London (ofc) and as black Kings Indian and Sicilian. I really didn't enjoy how sharp and theory dense the Sicilian was, nor the fact that you can transpose some KID's positions into Sicilian positions. So now I am playing the London as white and the Caro-Kann and the Slav as black. If you're a fan of dynamic play, KID and Sicilian are good for black, if you're a fan of just getting out of the opening the caro-kann and slav are good. I would say the same for white, if you like just getting out of the opening the London is good but if you like to keep things dynamic the English is a good place to stay. Hope that helps!
