I feel bad for often thinking Halsey is annoying. She is so daring but we shouldn't even call it daring, she is just doing what she wants and preaching great things along the way. she really is what the pop industry needs.

My only issue wih her is she hates people associating her with pop because she identifies as an "alternative" artist. But that's really too bad for her. Because she makes pop music.

I mean, it's okay to find her annoying. That doesn't mean anything about her, it just means you personally don't like her (and with singers, a lot of them have annoying music, or styles, or whatever, but that obviously doesn't mean they're bad people.) Maybe there's something about her that you find to be annoying, and even the best people can have some really irritating qualities.

The pop industry, which Halsey is in, often look past that because it's often just 'popularity'. My boss found out I protested the Presidents arrival so now they all taunt me as if I’m involved in a scandal. I’m just trying to be me and earn a living - while showing love even if we have conflicting opinions. their words of hate towards others are louder now as they discriminate. They loved me before they found out I’m a liberal - out here in the back woods - middle of nowhere. As much as I’d like to hate them back - I’ll give them a smile - and prove love isn’t wack. I won’t quit and walk out like I’ve done in the past - but I won’t be silent if asked where I stand.

It's so refreshing to see someone of her platform truly speaking out on important/taboo issues. All respect to her.

That is really empowering. This goes to show how creative and inspiring you are. Truly made me feel like I wasn’t alone and that I am who I want to be. “She fights back her tears.” I felt that.
