Thie following is the best quote I've seen that explains why Bowie insisted the BBC cut his performance from air only a few songs in and then spent years making vague excuses about sound quality and the like to avoid the full set being aired...until now. "I think Bowie knew exactly what he was doing on the night of June 25, 2000. He wasn’t about to give away his peak performance or his catalogue for nothing. He hoarded that night so that one day it could be shown in all its glory as his legacy, the culmination of his golden years and surely his greatest concert since he buried Ziggy Stardust at Hammersmith in July 1973. It’s a time capsule of his life, ready to be shared with us now that the stars have aligned.”

So beautifully said. My one & only experience at Glastonbury (I'm in Australia) was in 1994. It was the most magical, beautiful 3 days of music I've ever experienced - even everything getting stolen from my tent didn't dampen my mood. Unfortunately we got stuck with Peter Gabriel as the closing act. Bowie closing would have been a religious-like experience for me too, I get what you're saying. He was my first ever concert at the age of 11, and I have never forgotten it. RIP my HERO.

It's my fault that it fell apart [Pre-Chorus] Just maybe you need this And I didn't mean to Lead you on [Chorus] You were everything I wanted But I just can't finish what I've started There's no room left here on my back It was damaged long ago Though you swear that you are true I'd still pick my friends over you [Post-Chorus] My friends over you [Verse 2] Please tell me everything That you think that I should know About all the plans you made When I was nowhere to be found And it's alright to forget That we still talk It's just for fun, isn't it? @@steffanhoffmann1906 Dude, he had cancer, it destroys you completely, and besides, the last photos of him are something amazing, facing death with a smile. On the artistic side, after Tin Machine he came back stronger than ever with "Buddha Of Suburbia" and the experimental jazz album that was "Black Tie White Noise". And 2 years later he created the masterpiece that is "1. Outside" and just kept going and creating even more amazing albums. You should really listen to his work and the 90's and the 2000's. Some of that is better than the things he made in the 70's (Which are also amazing works).
