Along with some friends, I spent an evening with Glenn in 1987. We met him in a bar in Santa Monica after the L.A. Kings had upset the N.Y. Rangers and I was with a couple of the players that I knew. Glenn, a Detroit boy, impressed these guys with his knowledge of the game and was an absolute joy to hang with. Not a whiff of rock star arrogance; could not have been nicer. Spent significant time talking to a nobody like me, who, it was apparent to him all along, wasn't at all clear on who he was. A truly fine human being and a great talent. R.I.P., Glenn, thanks for the memory.

Fortunately, I went to high school with Glenn Frey. Glenn grew up in Royal Oak, MI. and he went to ROYAL OAK DONDERO H.S. During his high school days, he formed a rock band named 'The Mushrooms.' Glenn and 'The Mushrooms' played at our 8th grade graduation dance at Helen Keller Jr. High in Royal Oak. The Mushrooms were awesome and I admired Glenn Frey immediately. Glenn hung around the Detroit area and became close friends with Detroit rocker, BOB SEGER. Seger invited Glenn Frey to perform on his hit song,...'Ramblin' Gamblin' Man.' Finally, Glenn left Detroit and headed for California. The rest is history as Glenn and Don Henley formed the EAGLES. We dedicated the the street in front of Dondero H.S. as 'GLENN FREY DRIVE.' I am so happy that I got to experience Glenn Frey in the beginning. :)

Glenn is the only artist I've seen in concert more than once...once solo, and once with the Eagles. My first concert, also.

Ci sono canzoni che entrano immediatamente nel cuore e ti fanno sognare, questa di Glenn è fantastica, così come con gli Eagles.❤️

Only came across this song a month or 2 ago but I'm playing it a lot now. Glen Frey is a very special talent and such a sad loss.

I agree with every word in that song. Never experienced it before but someone showed about never walking away. Showed me true love.

1988...one of the hardest years of our lives ...it did take true love to see it and a few more through ...on the other side now it was soooo worth it.

Heard this song yesterday as I was brushing to 80s while having few drinks.. I've became instantly nostalgic and got watery eyes even though it was my first to heard it.. just the passion seen through the clip, it's all real. Way Glen project that vibe is phenomenon..Such a great song it made my night and my 80s playlist. Can't wait to play it in front of my friends..✌

I am now 75 and Glen takes me straight back to 16 going to the London clubs. The video is a piece of theatre, as Mr Frey shows true American music.

I agree -- LOVE this jam-packed video. Can't take my eyes off it once it starts. Hard to dance while sitting watching the screen, lol, but it appears I can multi-task if need be.

This video is an Amazing movie but it hardly got played on MTV/VH1. A great soul song and Glen is perfect. Love the dancers, too. And a great band, too. I love the line: "True love, make you a better man." Wish more men understood that. The Eagles aren't the Eagles without Glen, just like there could never be a Beatles reunion without John Lennon, or now without George (although his son sings and looks just like him). Man, I love this video. Even though I've watched too many times to count, I still see something new in it.

Think he most genuine of eagles..and hear him talk..A1..great songwriter and modest enough to say Henley d lead singer...Henley great but he would not outdo Frey on his songs
