As someone whose been a fan of SMG4 and Glitch for 9 years, this whole situation has left me in shock. Obviously, I know none of the behind the scenes details or what it's like working at Glitch, I'm just a fan, but the community and Fandom has meant the world to me, and I truly would be a different person without this. A lot of my good friends I've met through this fandom, and it's been the reason I've developed my art so much. Seeing SMG4 evolving from what it was to now was a fun journey, but seeing them do this to an actor who helped get them recognized and off of the ground is horrible. I always held Glitch and SMG4 in high regards because of their promise to help highlight indie animators, but I can't stand by this if this is how they treat such an important voice actor.

Someone theorized that due to her not being available often enough they decided to make the change and not tell anyone until after the fact. If true in either cases it still comes off as a disreapectful act towards Celeste as she played a part that helped Meta Runner's popularity.

UPDATED I still sincerely hope that this was ULTIMATELY the result of incompetence/stupidity/mistakes/etc, rather than any actual malice or shady practices. “Hanlon’s Razor,” basically. Now obviously it would be an awful mistake to make, and definitely won’t do good for their reliability, but I still think we can agree that it would be the lesser of two evils here. (Also side note: the fact that you held the plushies during recording just broke my heart. I’m a huge sucker for plushies due to how cute they are, and their appearance here just made this bittersweet.) EDIT: If Kevin’s response is any indication, that seems to have been the case. Lots of chaos during GP’s early years, but no active malice. So he really isn’t guilty.

The worst part of this whole situation, is that I had been spending months trying to make my own show that I would pilot for glitch. I was even going to have you Robin voice one of the characters. But now I'm not even sure if I should make the show to begin with, or if the current creators (Liam Vickers and Gooseworks) should continue their own series on glitch. This is heart breaking because if glitch aren't willing to treat its workers with respect to the point of them departing. Why make your own show with them, why even work for them if they're not even going to say goodbye. And the most disappointing aspect is that this decision goes against the very reason Glitch was founded in the first place. It was meant to give talented artists and creators an outlet to create shows. Without the fear of it being unfairly cancelled or shortened because of studio interference. Which is especially heartbreaking because of the incidious amount of shows being cut back or cancelled by streaming services cutting their cords too early. I mean look at something like Inside job, Final space and all the other animated productions getting shut down in favour for more shit like big mouth. It's soul crushing to see what seemed like an actually great idea for aspiring artists. Completely go to shit from people who make mario fart on a weekly basis. I'm not going to boycott anyone or anything because of this action. I'm just incredibly disappointed over this whole ordeal.

SMG4 was already dead to me after Luke introduced the arcs. The ends resolve nothing in those arcs and was just a pissing contest, as with the older War of the Fat Italians videos were just friendly rivalries between Mario and SMG4 as they try to top one another. The arcs were also an excuse for Luke to take some good guys out of the series permanently, it started with Desti, and continued with Axol. The new SMG4 videos just won't work for me now, the older SMG4 videos are what kept me from giving up being a fan of Luke's work.

I was often skeptical about anything, but i kept most of those thoughts secretly. But this time i'm going to say it out loud. When i looked at this situation, when i think about it, i always have thoughts like: "Maybe this was all a secretly, carefully make and designed plot made by the VAs and employees over the years to destroy the company's revenues and reputation for their own benefits" or something else like "Maybe someone else forced Kevin to do all of this" I still have a lot of doubt about what's going on. I cannot decide what to do with this situation. Though if you ask me what are the things i wanted the most right now? Well 4 things: firstly, a official response from Glitch or Kevin himself or something that will resolve the whole situation without harming the company or the employees. Secondly, episode 7 and 8 of Murder Drones. I don't want any more of TADC stuff, at least for now. Third one? For Robyn to come back (Which definitely isn't going to happen) or have someone else to voice him on time. And finally, for Celeste to come back. If neither of these things happen before the end of this year, i will jump /jk

Kind of ironic that I saw videos praising Glitch for being the forefront of indie animation, but they're making the same mistakes as other companies. I'm waiting to see if any other action will be taken, besides what has already happened. As you said, this could be the case of them getting too big too quickly. Hopefully this was just a failure in communication and whatever bad blood this may have created is fixed. Also, I don't know if Luke and Kevin were aware considering they run two channels, the main one which does weekly updates which I imagine takes a lot of time and energy. Plus, since Murder Drones and The Amazing Digital Circus are collabs with other creators that's more things to keep track of. Not trying to make excuses for them just trying to consider both sides.

What really gets me about Jasmine's repsonse is how absurd it sounds. You're telling me that you got the new voice, had her do her lines, had them added into the new episode, and not once during that entire process did they think to make Celeste aware of this? SOMEBODY HAD TO NOTICE, and if they didn’t, that's very unprofessional. It doesnt help that someone pointed the former employees who were very unsatisfied with how Glitch was being run, especially with regards to the CEO (That being Kevin.) Whether its Jasmine, Kevin or Luke, somebody needs to be held accountable here.

My guess is Jasmine will take the blame as she is in charge of VA direction. This could be reasoned due to her having possibly multiple roles and micro jobs in between that she was overstretched, but Kevin and Luke will need to take the blame of “they’re the boss and it happened under their eye”

I send all the support to Celeste and the MR artists as well too who had to deal with Glitch's treatment. The apology is so half-hearted and the fact it was in a discord rather than made public feels like Glitch wanted to just put the situation under the rug- I hope Celeste can recover after everything she had to go through.

Celeste recently came out with a post, revealing she was replaced at Jasmine’s suggestion. The reason being that Jasmine was under the impression Celeste was less available, due to having kids. However, she didn’t think to check with Celeste first, to make sure that was the case. For that reason, the voice actress who’s been with SMG4 the longest has been replaced without warning, or even a ceremonious farewell.

Well, it sucks to see SMG4/Glitch face Drama, though it was bound to happen, because nobody, let alone an entire company is perfect. This was unprofessional yes and its sad to see Celeste go like that, without having a proper goodbye, or a notice of termination. I dont have any beef with the new VA for Tari and anyone who works or has previously workedfor Glitch/SMG4. But hopefully neither SMG4 or Glitch will let this be a major problem that will lead to discontinuation of future projects. Although I am thankful for Celeste’s hardworking spirit as she was the reason why I love Meta Runner to this day.❤

Meta Runner was the only Glitch Productions series I ever liked & Celeste has always been Tari to me. It just sucks a lot. If there are fans who are not happy with the direction of what Glitch is doing, the toxic stans (yes I'm calling them that) will send you inappropriate videos & harass you nonstop because you dare to have an opinion. Robyn, thank you for explaining the situation as best as you can to all of us. I know that we have a good bunch of people who have decided to take matters into their own hands & that is unfortunate. I can't watch SMG4 anymore due to just losing the love that I had for it from 2013 to I guess last year. It just feels like pandering to the younger base & I'm frankly no longer wanting to watch because of the lack of transparency & the disregard to what the fans actually want.

I'm so sorry to here about this with your friend, Celeste.. because, I understand what about this drama happening with Smg4 and GLITCH, and this drama is kinda similar what happened with Sega a few years ago on 2009. This drama is almost similar how bakc in 2009, Sega replaced all of the 4kids Voice Cast with new voice actors because how Sonic and The Black Knight was their last game. I’m honestly so disappointed in Glitch for doing this. Like Robyn said Celeste was one of the main reasons Glitch got to where they are today and they just throw her away without a word. I posted on Twitter saying that I would be willing to boycott Glitch productions until the situation is fixed. But I both doubt I can do anything and don’t want to make it so people harass Lottie or Glitch in any way. Kevin and Jasmine deserve the hate they get for doing this to Celeste, who's been with Luke and Kevin since the company's founding and has stood loyal to them all this time. Apart of me doesn’t want to “Ditch Glitch” immediately and be a bit rational on this situation as it seems unfair to the main show creators such as Gooseworx and Liam Vickers who have given us amazing creations for us to enjoy, and having their hard work fall with the handful of folks who are getting fingers pointed at them doesn’t seem right. I’m really hoping this gets sorted out, Glitch seems to be the one of the very few in the animation industry providing us with actual creativity, while Ai is running around being able to be used as a cheaper, and lazier way of making art, than hiring actual artists as mentioned by other content creators I’ve passed by. This situation seems very messy, how Vas and animators seem to be treated is truly devastating. Though I want to at least wait til more information comes out before we go all cancel culture on them and start. grabbing the torches pitchforks. “Oh if they are acting like this and this and *anonymous* are saying this then it must be true they must be horrible people” I mean really? it’s never that simple, and this isn’t the first time we’ve have folks on twitter getting allegations for mistakes and getting stomped on. Even so nobody in this world is innocent, we are all human and we all make mistakes, and those mistakes don’t always define who we are as people especially if they can be learned from to due better. I really hope these mistakes get rectified. Glitch Production is one of the many animation studios I’d hate to see fail.

How did we get from this to Kevin being doxxed, Robyn showing a photo on Twitter/X of her comment to a video uploaded by a pretty Common Glitch Productions abd SMG4 reactor about the situation and the users opinion about it with one reply on Twitter/X showing Peter with a shotgun saying I just wanna talk to him signaling Death Threats? I get it's cause she voiced Theo in Metta Runner and worked closely with Glitch and SMG4 but her involvement in this especially the Tari voice replacement situation feels Random. Everyone majes mistakes just so happens that Glitch did one and yet somehow the mistake has spiraled into Glitch Productions on one side being an absolute monster of a company and Kevin needing to be 6 feet under. A reminder this happened over a simple voice actor replacement with a mistake of the original voice actor not being informed
