I agree, I’ve been trying to find a new mouse pad/mat, I’m currently using a yu-gi-oh deck mat T-T it’s not bad to use but it’s way too thin, any hard move will have this thing creasing up

Probably the best mousepad i've owned so far. Comparing it to a soft pad the mouse does make noticeable more noise, but besides that it's fantastic. It's so thin you can barely feel that it's actually there which is great. I bought a secondary cheap soft pad to put under my keyboard to reduce some of the keyboard noise. Great review Brian.

Hey BadSeed I use the Helios on top of my Mionix French Fry mousepad strictly for aesthetics and I love the feel of it even more than when it's on my wooden desk. Might give it a try! Love your niche videos like this man, keep it up!

I own the XL version of this and i have to agree, this is one of the first peripherals that i feel will actually increase your performance (and i hate saying that because companies use that as a huge marketing tool) I have a glorious XXXL desk mat that i put my helios on top of and it is the perfect setup for me. I use 800 DPI on most games but have been able to scale back to a more accurate and slow 400 due to this mat being so smooth and consistent. Also something ive started to do after seeing several people doing it as a method of cleaning is using furniture polish (the spray kind in a can like pledge) to clean it. Cleans the surface, doesnt ware it down or break it in any way, and adds a ton of glide for a while after applying. This with hyperglides on a divina s2 might be the best purchases ive made this year when it comes to peripherals. Definitely give this thing a shot if you're skeptical at all about hard pads like i was before trying this thing.

The fact that you review random things and don’t follow suit (trends) is what has made this channel a top one for me. Keep it up man, but not so much... because of you I have ordered a One Mini, and plan on ordering that pad, yet might wait to see if I can get a larger one (mouse pad) that takes the Ducky as well. I’m debating whether to get that GMMK as well... maybe you can get your hands on a Glorious Odin O; I’m tempted to purchase upon release.

hey man, if you want to review more nice and "niche" mousepads, asus scabbard and aorus amp500. those are quite popular for being fast in r/mousepadreview. also there arent many reviews here on yt and its something different from the usual zowie, logitech as steelseries stuff. nice video as always!!!

Great vid! You should have a look at gigabyte amp500 and madcatz authentic glide 38. They are quite fast and are hybrid pads with a silicon base and cloth top. They are VERY well received in r/mousepadreview

BadSeed Tech Hey Brian...I have a weird question, but what do you do to keep your set so clean? I never see any dust on your mouse and keyboard and the mousepads look really mint too. I have a Fredde desk from Ikea and one day after I clean up my desk it looks like shit again dust wise. Do you have any special tips for that?

Pro Tip: If you want your mouse to be even faster on your hardpad and not change the feet, use PTFE Mouse TAPE on top of them. It's cheap, easy to change and we already did it 20 years ago ;)

I just keep several pads around. Each has there own use. And if you hate the KB noise. I put O-rings on mine. it stopped that noise...

After about a year the mousepad is worn in the center where I use my mouse the most . The corners are like new but the center is more smooth can't tell if this makes the glide better or worse.

That's what happened to me back in the day with the Corsair M65 Vengeance on some not-famous cloth pad I don't even remember the name of. The moment I switched to a hard pad from Corsair, my edge was gone again! =( So right now I am experimenting with the M65 Ultra on Corsair's MM700, but I think it felt better on my used SteelSeries QcK, time will tell...

bruh i was looking for a hard mat to buy in the $100- $150 range, but I found a a flexible hard wavy grey plastic mat in my basement, I cut it out to the size of my desk, stapled it on, and I'm ngl it feels buttery smooth, it makes my mouse feel way lighter than it actually is. I'm assuming this is what the Helios feels like. saved $100 easily.

Would you recommend the wooting one kb? Would you call the analogue keys a gimmick? Also I'd like to see better development in having split keyboards so we have the left side only... Maybe recommend us such a keyboard?

I loved the Wooting for a long time but finally retired it recently. My thoughts: -The analogue keys are not a gimmick per se bc they actually work -Setting them up for each game is a pain and not all games work fully. Far Cry is a great example. -So I *never* used the analog keys -The drivers for the analog keys interfere with using a gamepad...so on retro 2d scroller titles, I had to switch boards out to use a gamepad. -Switches are so limited...either their version of red or blue which aren't really on par with Gats or Cherry -In the past year, we've seen some serious keyboards hit the market. Don't be too swayed by the analogue keys. Hope that helps. 👍
