Sistah! YOU by far have been the best visual tutorial yet! And I have watched plenty! What really helps me is the visual you provide of the middle/index finger working with the thumb. It amazingly helps me remember my placement each time. Thanks SO much!!! Now, I just have to practice.

How do you part and straighten the lines for braiding?

"we're going to start braiding now... it's time for the struggles to begin.." 🤣🤣🤣 no truer comment was said! Appreciate this video👌🏾👏🏾

your fingers confused me at first, but then i started experimenting with different methods and braiding my hair while watching the video and BOOM! My first ever cornrow with my natural 4c hair! :o Doesn't look the neatest and kinda looks inverted lol but practice makes perfect I guess haha 😭😂 - thanks for the fab tutorial!!! Much love sis x

My mind gets it but my fingers don't, lol. Like I get the concept/pattern of what your hands are supposed to do, but when I try it, it stops making sense. 😭😂😒

I love this tutorial, & I think I'm starting to see what my problem is; I hate the fact that I can't see what I'm doing. I've noticed that when it comes to braiding your own hair, it's all abt the feeling. And parting, is also another struggle bc my hair is short & it's really hard to keep my access hair out the way when I part it.🤦♀️I love this tutorial tho, & I'm gonna try my best to keep practicing.🤷♀️🥰

i am white and trying to learn how to do my boyfriends 4c hair in different styles… he wanted cornrows this time but when i tried it just looked super fuzzy and i could not see the braid:/ any advice?? i’ve tried water, coconut oil, styling gel, and even combining multiple lol he’s also lost bc he’s never done these things with his hair and i just wanna learn

Same girl. I think the prob is we’re doing Dutch braids instead of corn rowing. I just tried doing my man’s last night. What she is showing reminds me more of a waterfall braid like there’s two pieces you hold each time but the third piece is the rest of the loose hair that pulls through
