​@@gagefixeseverything Can you clean out the rear drain with the glass off? I figured I would need to remove the headliner for that. My Power Wagon is leaking bad and the Stealership is too dumb to do this. Ha!

@@MTBryanH I usually use bailing wire or similar to push down the drain tubes and follow with water / compressed air. Just be careful with the compressed air because you can blow the line off inside the roof

To clean the water drainage tubes out I used edge trimmer plastic wire. I went in from the wheel well and that worked the best for me.

I would just scribe around the washers before you remove them. I honestly don't see the reason for all the measuring because the factory spots (scribing) should still work fine with the new seal. Great video. It looks pretty easy. My kids Avalanche just started to whistle Dixie so it needs to go. Thank you!

@@Chopski64 It's true, you should be able to see the marks where the hardware was fastened before. I justike being redundant to avoid issues. Thanks for the comment!

@gagefixeseverything you did a great job. Better than factory would have done. I'm sure the alldata is how it's "supposed" to be done. It's obviously a good idea to at least eyeball it after the fact. Most people just wing it. 😏

A torx 25 is also available in any box of deck screws you buy at your local Lowes. I have tons of them all over the place. So if you ever have done that then those will work too.

Any idea where to find this seal for the 01-06 body style? I can't find a replacement seal, they look to be discontinued. And i need a seal

Unfortunately the plastic track that the seal wraps around is commonly dry rotted and is either already crumbling or breaks during install.

Thank you for this video. This is the biggest bull crappppppoppppp job ever too doo. This is on par with with changing a new VW Jetta alternator. I'm one hour in with trying to get this deal on. Biggest s hit heads are these engineer's. The seal is cold and not pliable so now I'm heating it
