I bought a used truck that has a safe and the code is not 0000. How do I open it?

I have a question I just got this same safe with a key to reset the code. However the doesn’t feel like it’s pushing anything in and after I put the new code in the only way to gain movement is by putting in default code again. Anyone that’s familiar please reply

you know thats only if no one set the code on it. they come wit hit set to 0000. you open it push in the pin thats in the hole on the side and set the combo then it has to be set to the code set to reopen it. no one ever set the code on that one. the only way to open it with out the code once set it to drill it.

false, i got mine open without having to drill as well as i was able to figure out the new code after opening it and set a new one on the lock. but i will not go on to say how i did it as there are many scandalous ppl out here. 2019 GMC denali

@@bertgarza5558 ?? was the work around that simple? the point of these console safes are to temporarily secure firearms not to store firearms, meaning im not worried if a thief has to for instance drill through the lock or do some david copper field bs to open the lock thats the point to prevent smash and grabs while you can't carry like into a court house not to be some closely guarded fort knox facility so with all that being said please publish the workaround

@@beastzeus it indeed was super simple, I over complicated it when trying to break in then stopped and look @ the situation from a different point of smooth entry vs wrecking ball
