what's really cool for those southern pickup truck guys is a sliding rifle draw that is configured with the rear tail light. No joke I've seen them the tail light is the end of the draw that slides out of the bedside.

question : have you already tried out whether you can also use the reset in the LOCK position with that paperclip ? because that would make the safe completely redundant of course. but in your case I would like to know that in advance before you put valuables in it . thanks for the video

You will need to know the owners original set code to insert the “special tool” and reset it! From the manufacturer: Keyless Combo Instructions: Note: Please make sure lid is in the open position before beginning the following steps. Instructions for setting your personal keyless combination: 1. The combination is factory-set at 0 - 0 - 0. 2. The combination must be on opening number prior to resetting. 3. On the underside outer edge of the lock there is a hole for the code reset button. Rotate the face of cam until the code reset button comes into view. 4. Push this pin in with a paper clip and keep it pushed in. 5. Set your personal combination by turning the dials to the desired combination. 6. Release the reset button and your new combination is set. 7. To lock, rotate lock to “Locked” position. Rotate one or more dials after lock is closed. 8. Then, to open the lock, turn dials to your personal combination.

Reading the comments it seems folks think that this thing is to secure your valuables when you are away from the truck. That is silly. The truck is portable so your valuables go with it. The best use of a "vault" is to keep things away from people when you are present. People that ask you questions like, "Do you have any guns or drugs or anything I need to know about in the truck?". The vault stays unlocked so you can access, say Mr. Glock's most successful invention, quickly and then when prying eyes get near, spin the dials and you are good. Just remember...consent to no searches, ask to be on your way, and don't say that you'll wait for a search warrant.

Its a nice idea, but the exposed locking tab can be cut with a battery cut off wheel in less than 10 seconds. They even give you a nice big slot to get the cutting wheel down into.

Supposedly the original motor according to a GM guy that has worked on it. Takes a good amount of PM, but still runs well...until yesterday. Guess it heard you talking about it. It decided to rupture a coolant hose.

What about a Ford, Toyota or a Honda Ridgeline? Would you get them to give you another one. Take that one to the junk yard and install it. Then do what it would take to get it out and or open. Maybe call the police gang unit ask them to come with you to a junk yard so they can show you how safe it is. If they have an idea. Knowing how to reset the combination I could just set it to 0 0 0 0 again and open it right??

He changed it when it would open, because the code was 0000, when he set his own personal code it locks the lock and you now need the same code he used to be able to reset it… Keyless Combo Instructions: Note: Please make sure lid is in the open position before beginning the following steps. Literally EVERY TIME I fly with a Pelican Case, or similar... when I pick it out from baggage claim, it's spun around to 0000.... those people in baggage, literally, try it on 0000 EVERY TIME.......
