I think this is a really great direction for the mechanical keyboard community to be going in, as more and more companies realise it is profitable to enter this market we as consumers will have a lot more great budget options. It's not perfect by any means, but at its price point I honestly think its a really good keyboard.
@JimIBobIJones2 жыл бұрын
It is also, so far, the only full metal, hot swap custom/semi custom keyboard that has both high polling and low latency mode support in the firmware. Its a really good "bridge" keyboard between the build quality of custom/small batch keyboards and the responsiveness of "mainstream" gaming keyboards. Even if you don't like the board or the company, the GMMK pro is a key product that has shaped the entire market in a very short period of time. The position of Glorious as a "medium sized" company mass-producing the GMMK pro have pushed both the Enthusiast and mainstream mechanical keyboard manufacturers to up their game, with the former finally starting to improve the software/firmware experience and the latter introduce best practice from the custom scene (such as case dampening and hot swap sockets).

I went tryhard on the satisfaction75 R2. I was there the second it opened up. Went through the whole cart process. While the payment was processing it sold out. I couldn't figure out what happened right away, and was extremely disappointed to find out I couldn't get one. I know there is a culture around GB's and the higher quality customs (I know Sat75 isnt top top tier...) but it burned me out of the mech hobby. I'm coming back with the GMMK Pro because it has the features I want (75%, rotary knob, hot swap) and because this board is approachable. I wouldn't even for a second recommend this hobby to newcomers given the year long waiting times, and desparate GB's. But maybe now, its doable. That is what is great about this keyboard. Who cares if the knob rattles more than a rama knob on a Sat75. At least I can acquire this one.

@LegacyAirTech3 жыл бұрын
if they fix the stab compatibility issue I see no reason not to buy this board. Its either nicer or has more features than everything else in its price range. Even with its flaws, they all seem very minimal or a feature wasn't implemented "as good" as it could have been...but then you realize other boards at this price don't have the feature at all anyway. The ONE consistent drawback I have seen so far is that, for some reason, all the sound tests on this board don't sound as "thocky" as other boards and I don't know if its the case, the plate, or just the limited number of reviews and most of them using the same combo of switches/keycaps etc.
@SpltPersonaltyOF3 жыл бұрын
The board itself has very little hollow space in it, thus reducing resonance. Plus it comes with case foam, pcb/plate foam and is gasket mounted. So this is gonna be one silent board. Also, he only used low profile caps, which can affect the sound signature. SA, MT3, KAT, or KAM profile caps are probably what you are looking for.
