daaang... it WOULD be not-so-nice if you would be fighting normal/fighting mons, but i think the benefits would outweigh the disadvantages Maybe you could have the area where pudet spawn... kind of like... the "creepy" area of the region, also spawning ghastly/haunter/misdreavus/duskull (typical ghostiemons) in the tall grass/inside the building. At the end, you wouldn't meet a stray rotom or smth like that, but an old, kind of creepy looking elderly dude with a wooden leg or with only 1 arm and the other sleeve of his shirt bound to a knot. After defeating this trainer (he would use mid to high tier ghost-pokemon, including Woond as his last one) he would give you an important (for story or evolution) item or something overpowered... like a gengarnite or smth like that. He'd then disappear. Not like... poof-gone, but he would visibly walk into a room to the left or to the right (but not moving his legs in animations to give it a "floating" vibe) leading to a dead end, and he would be nowhere to be found. OR for simplicitly, the screen would go black and he would be gone (like in a lot of other pokemon games) BUT he would say something after you beat him. "I wish i could have met a trainer as strong as you in my lifetime. Now i can finally go to rest. Thank you" *mysterious man handed you the 'important item'" or "handed you a gengarnite" Damn i can REALLY picture this in my head. He'd use capricorn-balls (you wouldn't be able to obtain those in the game but he would have the capricorn-ball-sprites and animation of throwing onto the battlefield) to indicate that he is, indeed, OLD. Or WAS old... (*fake cough in elbow* spirit that haunts the area like in the urban legend *fake cough in elbow*)

Changing Normal type moves to Ghost type wouldn't be a problem because it'd still have Fighting STAB to deal with Normal and Fighting types... Honestly, though, I imagine it having a "Phantom Limb" Ability would just be a reflavored, non-Hidden Ability version of Long Reach: when it uses a contact move, it won't activate any effects caused by contact.

Besides, every Ability is going to be situational. Intimidate is one of the best Abilities in the games, but it's useless against a special attacker.

@Riley Thomas Oh, also, negating the effects of making contact apparently doubles as preventing recoil damage as the Rock Head Ability does, so moves like Double-Edge and Wild Charge could be big potential assets (mostly Wild Charge). Though, I could see it having another ability than just its signature that also involves contact moves, like Tough Claws, or maybe just Justified (though that'd probably be its Hidden Ability like the other non Swords of Justice that get it) to go along with its lore and similarity to the Swords of Justice. And Ability verity is what makes more niche abilities potentially more useful, in the context of fighting another human player, anyway. Long Reach is exclusive to one Pokemon line, and even then as a Hidden, so another Pokemon with that capability could be quite handy.

You can have nine faints for that Pokemon, but only if it is done with wild battles. However, if that Pokemon faints on a critical or super effective hit, then the Pokemon is dead. After it evolves, Catatomb dies like every other Pokemon. If we wanted the "faint to evolve" thing to be more common, it could also be done with Pudet as well.

Speaking of Beadamup being related to Lucario, among other ancient Egyptian gods such as Anubis (which Lucario is partially based on) is Sekhmet, a violent goddess of war (she was also a healer and protector but most people remember her best as a warrior goddess). While Anubis has the head and associated symbolism of a jackal, Sekhmet has that of a lioness. That’s not particularly relevant to the Pacific Northwest, but I thought it was an interesting enough coincidence to comment about it. It would be cool if there was a nod to it in the (hopefully WIP) game, maybe a line of dialogue or team that mentions Lucario and Beadamup together, but honestly I don’t know how that would work, I’ve never been further north or west than Utah. 😅

Seems a bit unnecessary to make regional variants for fan pokemon, but maybe that could be the Unovan variant, say they're from the same ancient society where you can find the *very* egyptian inspired Cofrigigus. Maybe as pokemon that violently keep people out of the ruins (what the archeologists not being aware of is that they're keeping people away from the Cofrigigus for their own safety. to keep more Yamask from being created. Maybe they're trying to prevent the spread of a curse). This version of them could be partially ghost type (fighting ghost maybe?)

Tacoma is considered part of the greater Seattle Metropolitan area, which is likely what he was talking about here. The United States Census Bureau refers to the area as the Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue, WA metropolitan statistical area, even. Which is part of their contract to specifically NOT interact with fans because "we don't want their ideas clouding your judgment. They don't know what they want". Well there's a tiny caveat that Gamefreak would never take someone else's ideas because even if Lockstin gave it all away, unless there's a massive ass contract signing he could turn around and bite the hand that feeds him. See Uri Geller and the whole Kadabra mess, including how he claims that it's *his* Pokemon rather than something inspired OF him. Lastly they wouldn't because Gamefreak is lazy on a top level. They could give Pokemon Sword and Shield 25 million dollars in budget (estimated I forget what they released numbers wise), and they sell almost 20 million units. So a region that's THIS densely packed with lore, story, care, etc? Costs too much money GameFreak's top execs would have pulled the plug by now because they need the game done by next week to start showing the trailers. On an individual programmer level, I have no issues with the company. The problem comes down to is this a Creatures Inc, Nintendo, The Pokemon Company/International (two separate but equal parts of the equation), or Game Freak problems. Because there's some big wig that's making choices and it's not going well. Granted we'll never get to the 44 million units Red and Blue sold, but when we compare to Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey, Animal Crossing, name a series that's got a Switch release and you have both from a profit margins as well as an install base, as well as from a player standpoint, the best the series has to offer. But Sword and Shield? They lied to the customer base. Soo many times. We're talking at least 6 in the span of 3 months. "We're making new models and animations" "Oops we already made Switch level models 7+ years ago, and the animations for several Pokemon as well as the humans and static images look like we made them in a single day. But oh boy we made a game!" "We're cutting a *few* Pokemon to save development time for previous lie" "And by a few I meant closer to 60%. Don't worry we'll toss you some with the DLC! Still won't be able to have most gen 4 Pokemon because you know we're milking that remake train. We just won't out and admit it" "Oh we know that Nintendo Switch Online is one of the most controversial services of all time. We'll do our best to make this work" *Proceeds to make one of the worst main series Nintendo games when it comes to this very feature.* Need I go on?

I love the concept of Lucario having a counter-part in Kaskade. He was sort of OP in a different way. And I love how both of them have elements of (although Gamefreak didnt know) Sonic and Shadow but they also show small elements from each other. Here's wat I mean: - Lucario Sonic: Great speed, blue aura, it Naruto-runs, and shiz Shadow: Cold expression, Its sign-move is just throws energy projectiles (like Chaos Spear), and its Mega Evo dex entry says it battles with no mercy. -Beadamup Shadow: it "roller skates" a few feet off the ground, T/A Sonic: it has that signature Sonic-grin, T/A I like to see more of the parody between the two.

I like the idea that as catteraxe is trained by a human companion, it becomes reacclimated to people, and regains more domesticated traits that bring out its psychic abilities. But when it's feral tendencies are encouraged, it becomes Catatomb, like many feral cats whose lifespans end up shorter than housecats:( Honestly if it had a sort of ninjask/Shedinja type of evolution trigger that would SO cool, as a kid I thought it was such a wild mechanic. it's kind of like a mystery to uncover. @@majesticgothitelle1802 Nice! The Steel Pellets seem to be the most likely idea. Make it steel type Bone Rush. Or maybe if you want a more competitively viable move make it guaranteed to hit 3 times with 30 bp each rounding up at 90bp, as in the art it has 3 floating steel balls. It'll make a good alternative to Meteor Mash that can break sturdy and focus sash. If you want to make this thing even more competitively viable, give it Skill Link or Technician. The 60 bp Fighting type priority move also seems likely, maybe a bit op, but it's fine. Although, I wouldn't name it after aura, as it seems only Lucario utilizes this, and Beadamup utilizes electromagnetism instead. So maybe name it after something about roller skating.

I also thought of another steel type move called grenade ball 90 base power physical range attack. throw an iron ball that explode on contact, 35.5% may cause the target Burns!

I’m surprised Catteraxe doesn’t have axes for ears, considering it developed that axe-tail because it kept bumping into trees I feel like it would of made more sense for the blades to be either on or close to the head :)

@@sandeepsingareddy6331 Trade can still work since that's gonna be a mechanic in any mainline game the mon features in. But I understand wanting to steer away from gimmick related evolutions with no equivalents. Like they've had three different versions of what's basically Poke Ami. There's no reason those should all count as different things for evolution requirements. That needs to stop. An alternate to item-based evolution would be putting it in the daycare (which offers "obedience school" or something) for a while since that's also in nearly every game. Otherwise you just use the friendship mechanic that's based on how much you use and heal it in battle instead of virtual pet mini games.
