To preface, I enjoyed the discussion and appreciate the content. On the primary question, to delay or to not delay: Yes there should be a delay. I found myself getting REMARKABLY resentful of Dena's take that "if they wanted to, they would." She's clearly not speaking from a place of experience of the true case of getting screwed by content release times. It's not just players with jobs that can "just take time off from" that get screwed by this sort of stuff; students also get absolutely shafted. SoD is definitely far more accessible than previous releases, but that doesn't stop players who have a history like mine, where EVERY release of Classic anything has been right at the same time as my semester ramped up, from getting left behind. The fact that I had to go to class meant that I was inherently at a disadvantage to getting leveled up in a decent amount of time even if I chose to completely disregard my work to be done out of class. This meant that on PvP servers, even at my maximum possible playing capacity with skipping meals, sleeping less, and maximizing everything to be WoW-only except class times I would still get ganked nonstop because of how far behind I was. Playing SoD in phases has honestly been amazing because ganking exists, but you're not completely hopelessly at a disadvantage. The lack of kit at lvl 25 combined with the runes and the PvP flagging areas being late into the zones meant that my instances of getting ganked were more of a "damn" than simply getting gibbed in two hits by someone whose level is completely beyond my character's comprehension. In the context of SoD and raids, allowing people (namely hardsweats) to instantly access raids leads to a similar stat disparity on launch to larger leveling brackets, where someone with several pieces of raid gear simply walks around between zones and slaps people trying to level up MUCH harder (or is significantly harder to kill) than other non-raiding players would be able to. The combo of fewer people at-level for Battlegrounds means that there isn't even anything else to do outside of that, so it implicitly encourages people with gear to go out and gank between lockouts by feeding the power fantasy with targets' reduced ability to compete in combat. Once there is a healthy population at-level to allow things like battlegrounds to become a viable pastime I think it's fine to open the content up, but prior to that I think that it exacerbates launch-time issues and screws many players who may be competitive on a skill basis simply because their privilege stat isn't high enough to no-life WoW for 72-144 hours. I think it would be more interesting than two weeks delay, however, to have it be a certain number of accounts required to reach 40 before Gnomeregan opens. Let's say it doesn't open for 6 days (two lockouts) or until 200 characters (example number) on EACH faction on a server have to reach 40 on a character before Gnomeregan opens because "even the combined might of the Alliance and the Horde couldn't breach the doors." This still leaves room for WPvP, but also discourages gratuitous halting of other faction player progress because a lack of progress on either side means nobody has access. It also means that there is a healthy population of players at max level to both allow for recourse in the event of ganking by max-level players AND makes sure that there is a minimum population for Battlegrounds to be viable. Max-level players are encouraged to help people advance in order to unlock content faster, WPvP still has ups and downs but stays competitive because of the aforementioned encouragement to help others, and more casual players are at least able to somewhat keep up by the time the raid content is released. They don't all have to be max level by any means, but getting ganked by a lvl 40 in raid gear while trying to get to level 30 feels very different than getting ganked by that same level 40 at level 37. I admit I am biased. I don't much love PvP but the people I end up wanting to be around (IRL friends) refuse to play PvE. I've gotten better about it in SoD but that's because the WPvP aspect was much softer while still providing the thrill of WPvP existing at all. Sorry I'm running mostly on caffeine and adderall so I got a bit rambly and may have not thought of some factors, but my alternative presented here is probably the best one I can think of while still accommodating people who can't just drop everything for a video game.

Love the show guys. For rogue AOE what about cleave just like Warrior. Off the GCD and cost 5 to 10 energy and hits up to 3 targets. I don’t know what’s better just a thought.

Alliance portal is to that naga area just above BFD so it helps but it’s not easy button to the instance As far as horde getting camped in front of the raid entrance - I see just the flip side on Lone Wolf - goes both ways

Heyo! I was the second voicemail, can't thank you guys enough for bearing with my rant and giving feedback! Only thing that got missed was the main point about immunities, I'm okay with a boss or two having gimmicks involving resistances etc. I think full immunities across entire raids have to get fixed... MC will literally turn off a TON of specs (lava burst/lava lash, fire lock, fire mage, lock tank etc) and Gnomer is looking to have similar problems with no bleeds, no poison, and no diseases

My issue with immunities, and resistances, is that there’s no counterplay. No way to out gear, or consumes that allow for full damage.

Alliance have a quest to kill the first boss in BFD. After you turn it in your get a portal from Auberdine in Darkshore to the beach north of the BFD entrance, so alliance takes the portal jumps into BFD then does the logout skip same as horde.

The Alliance portal goes from Auberdine to the beach outside, just northwest of the raid. You still have to run down to the logout skip

this did not happen back in the day unless you mean 2019 back in the day; ventrilo and Teamspeak you had to pay for a membership based off the number of users on there at anytime; I played on one of the sweatest servers and we never did it in AV; though in 2019 you would take a queue and there would be people spamming discord; big difference than back in 2003/2004

On faction diversity, I always thought it was pretty cool that priests of different races got different spells (i.e: devouring plague, feedback, fear ward, shadowguard, desperate prayer etc.). They did it in the original TBC release with paladins too with seal of blood for horde and seal of vengeance for alliance but changed it for tbc classic. It would be interesting to see a race-exclusive rune for each class. It would require very careful balancing to prevent one race of a class from becoming the meta of course. The easier path in terms of balancing would be a faction exclusive rune for each class.

alot of the premade issue is mostly WSG itself, lose the middle and you get camped at gy and you get 0 rep without a cap, it has incentive to let the other team win to get that one badge quicker, AB is alot better experience

fishing in the same fishing spot as someone else should pvp flag them even if you're the same faction, it's literally always more efficient for them to move past you to the next fishing spot, it drags both of you down to compete for the same fishing hole they're just being mindlessly aggressive so you should be able to respond with aggression in kind
