Actually, the target audience of this ad are the very Woke, and very rich, elite and celebrities, such as the actress Emma Watson. The irony, however, is that such Woke people would never buy a brand that has historically been associated with the British, white “Patriarchy”. This advertisement campaign has openly mocked and destroyed Jaguar’s historical market without having any chance of replacing it with a new one. “Peak Woke” was achieved in 2020, when Joe Biden openly declared that the TWO CRITERIA for his VP choice (and, as it turned out, future Democrat Presidential candidate) would be: 1.) A Specific Gender and 2.) A Specific Skin Color. That worship of ‘Woke” crashed and burned on U.S. General Election Night of 2024. The disasters of the last 4 years has made “Woke” as appealing to the majority as yesterday’s fish wrapper. This ad is, politically, 4 years behind the times, and, artistically, 52 years behind the times as is pretends that it has not copy what was, once upon a time, shocking, when David Bowie created the character of Ziggy Stardust in 1972.

I bought a new Jag when I was 30*and sold it after a year because I was sick of seeing people with grey hair driving one. There's a good business decision with the rebranded. You might not like it but you don't understand selling cars.

I worked at Jaguar for many years when Ford bought Jaguar from BL. Ford sold it out to Tata group, which is when I left the company.

I have a 2005 JAG SuperV8 originally the car sold for 100,000.00 USD I’ve owned it for 15 years. very few issues and the repairs I did myself. I recently put it up for sale because I only drive it once a month . I was asking 24,000.00 now I’ll be lucky to get 24.00 . They not only screwed all the JAG owners but 44,000 employees will be losing their jobs not to mention all the other companies that make parts for JAGUAR. WOKE ASSHOLES.

Stopping production and changing to all electric will kill the brand without all this nonsense. Perhaps they haven't noticed yet but EVs are lurking around on garage lots for months. People are abandoning their manufacturer of choice for their new ICE car because they have already hit their allocation of tax free ICE cars and cannot supply any more until they have sold more EVs. People don't want EVs. There is no infrastructure to support them. On a busy day you might have to queue at the pump for a few minutes. At public chargers that can be hours. Massive numbers of urban houses cannot have home chargers. There is no joined up thinking going on in the Net Zero cult. Ideology beats all, you WILL drive an EV or use public transport! Millibrain has decided.

The Jaguar brand died the moment it announced that in 2025 they were going 100% Electric. Like Ferrari, as Enzo once said " You buy the engine and we throw the car in for free" Such is the case with major Marques. All vehicle Manufacturers in Europe should get together and bring down those in power with their ridiculous Net Zero Mandates. Mandates that will have Zero impact on Global Emissions. If the UK sunk into the ocean without a trace it would have no effect on global warming with China, India and now the USA having the biggest output. The likes of Miliband should be locked away for the safety of the UK economy & its citizens.

The reason you end up with these sort of ads and even really poor TV shows, movies and video games etc etc, is all down to DEI diversity, equality and inclusion employment practices. Look at parliament, both the Tories and Labour practice this when picking mps. The Green party has a leader who wouldn't be even trusted making the cups of tea on a building site. In fact I wouldn't trust Starmer, Badenoch, Davey and co to be charge of anything that has any level of responsibility whatsoever. That's why Britain is a dump. I'd trust Farage to make a brew on site, he'd do it with a cigarette in his mouth, pint of beer in one hand and then think up a scheme to make a profit from it.

Just visited the website. It is a disaster. I agree that the company purposely set itself up to fail. With just over 63K global units sold in 2023, it may need to close up shop, declare bankruptcy or something to that effect. I would have chosen to exit in a gracious manner which recapped its history, steeped in tradition and elegance. Bon voyage, Jaguar!!!

I ‘was’ looking at a relatively new F-Type V8 P450 but I genuinely couldn’t be seen in one now thanks to this. Looks like an older Bentley is on the cards.
