You can also bake this cake by just adding 1 tsp baking powder but keep consistency of the batter slightly thick.
Bake this cake between medium-low flame for about 50 minutes or until you notice that cake starts leaving edges of the mould/tin.
Note:
While steaming keep water level slightly lower than the cake mould/tin to avoid water entering into cake mould.
Also try to cover the cake mould with aluminum foil so that vapour water do not drop directly into cake tin.
