Learn Korean with GO! Billy Korean

Жыл бұрын

In this video you’ll learn how to count days using the counter 일 (for example, 일일, 이일, 삼일), as well as using a different Pure Korean system for the days. This includes 하루, 이틀, 사흘, and 나흘. You’ll also learn the words 보름 (15 days) and 그믐 (30 days), and the days between. And you’ll learn the difference between using 일 and using this Pure Korean system instead.

감사합니다. A related common expression is 하루하루 -- lit one day, one day, which means daily, day-by-day one day to the next, etc. depending on context. 빌리 고님 덕분에 하루하루 저는 한국어를 배워요.

Finally a good explanation of these words and their use after Duolingo forced me to learn them way too early.

This is a really useful video. I learn Korean rules from this channel in English to exchange languages. Hopefully I can explain these things in English by myself. 😅 I still have a long way to go for my English speaking. 🥲 I'm jealous of 빌리쌤. He can speak Korean and English.

@@SuAmazing I'm improving though. I still don't say all of what I want to say. Whenever I stuck, I feel frustrated. But I try to read a lot, listen a lot and watch a lot in English.

@@katesicle oh, it should be 공부하기 시작한 지 5년, unless you don't study anymore. if you want to see this, go to Billy's full live about '~(은/ㄴ) + 지 되다 "Since doing...", and put in the minute 44:36, i asked if the meaning will change if we say 공부한 지

Great video as always Billy! I have a question why are these numbers not used? Is there any specific reason or is it just because people are used to it?

The fun fact is that in my generation, 사흘 나흘 were kinda common while 이레 여드레 weren’t used a lot but we knew them at least. Nowadays younger generation don’t even know what 사흘 mean, they should learn korean from you 😂 kzbin.info/www/bejne/nKjShqGvdpqeZ80 thanks for the video and it’s always surprising to see your knowledge

Billy, i have a question about the 데 form. in the future becomes 건데 but if i don't remove the ㅅ from 것? it will be 것인데? this is common? it's because the 지 form, becomes 것인지 if you maintain the ㅅ, so i wonder if this happends with 데 too. And it can be used with 겠다 future too? 하겠는데
