I love the respect/understanding Kimblee has for Ed - He knew exactly who he was dealing with, perfectly summed up in "If you think that, then you still don't understand Edward Elric"

Kimblee is one of my favorite characters in the whole series. He's a psychopathic mass murderer, sure, but he's always honest and true to who and what he is and he despises those who aren't. There's something almost admirable to his no bullshit approach to life and I love it when he calls out others on their own hypocrisy.

@@thechh8297 when a person says something like this ^^^^ they have never nor ever will be in a delivery room or understand that the first noise a baby makes on being alive is crying. It's a sign that they are alive, well and strong. That is why the only thing you hear before the crying baby is utter silence, Hiromu Arakawa realised this after giving birth and hearing her baby crying for the first time and realising 'oh the baby's alright!'

Al new that only Ed can finish this fight. And once again in an act of complete selflessness he sacrificed himself to give Ed a fighting chance. He bet it all on Ed and trusted him completely. Al knew that Ed can and will succeed. Not just in this basically unwinnable fight but they also still had to find a way to get their bodies back and Ed now has to complete that on his own.

These last few episodes are just perfection. This whole series just masters the art of setup and payoff, and this is one of those rare cases where the English dub cast just really shines.

Coming back to watch this so much later and it makes me remember something the author once said. I'm paraphrasing but she said that if this had taken place when Wrath was in his prime, there is NO ONE who could've stopped him. He only had one life compared to the other Homunculi but he could do more with that one life than all the rest. Also, I remember reading the manga and towards the end there was a cover page showing all the good guys putting their hands together as a show of strength, and off to the side, mostly off screen is a fist holding a white hat. No one ever knew what Kimblee did to save the day. EDIT: After typing this I had to search for the image and I completely forgot there's also a hand sticking out in another corner with a picture of Alicia, so now I'm🥲

Probably wrong, the reason why he looks like that is because he was made using Hohenheim's blood, it's the same reason why Pride claims he's able to use Ed's body as a container due to the connection to Hohenheim through his bloodline

Wrath: Fought until he physically couldn't anymore, but ultimately died peacefully Pride: Kimblee spelled it out for the most part, but in addition to that, Pride's shell/facade crumbled, and was literally made small by Ed.

It was only appropriate that Scar was the one to finish Bradley off. Not just because he finally avenged his people by defeating the leader of the military that slaughtered them; but because it was also symbolic of Scar overcoming his own wrath, that had consumed him for most of the series. Another beauty about Bradley's defeat, is that it calls back to what he told the Ishvallans during the war. "How much longer does your God plan to wait, before unleashing His fury? If you want to see me struck down, use your own hands, not God's". By Bradley's own acknowledgement that beam of light could be seen as an act of God; giving Scar the opening he needed to strike him down with his own hands. And the fact that Scar took Bradley's hands in the process makes it even more poetic.

Nope, divine intervention. Wrath asked during the Ishvallan war how many of God's people he would have to kill before God struck him down. He got his answer as he was about to add one more - Scar - to his total. The eclipse began to end, the light shone through the hole created by Father's deflected attack, glinted off his raised blade, and gave Scar the opening to end the fight.
