Yep, but that's not usually what Thada wants to grab. It wants to win more than it wants to "not lose". If in a pinch, it will definitely grab the opponents' wincons though.

I might be mistaken but I don't think Ryan could have cast his dockside extortionist as it was the second spell he cast that turn. To my understanding if the turn begins with rule of law in effect destroying it doesn't remove it's effect until the end of the turn it leaves the battlefield. I remember reading about it on an article about obscure rules players often get wrong. like I said, I could be wrong so if anyone can clarify I would appreciate it.

Rule of law is what imposes the ability. If rule of law is removed, then the ability goes away. Spells like silence are what have lasting effects until the end of turn.

@@PlayingWithPowerMTG I double checked, and see where I was confused. Rule of law counts for the entire turn, meaning if you already played a spell before it came into effect you can't play another. I think I either misremembered the article I read or it was worded vaguely

Even though he has protection from everything, I was told through a ruling and explanations (similar to teferi's protection) that Peter could still lose through commander damage. Is this true?

All damage that would be dealt to that player is prevented If that player has protection from everything

ACTUALLY through VERY VERY niche rules the player with the one ring DOESNOT have protection from everything just like with Teferies protection the deck is still in play so say if you were to play Etali, Primal storm like I do and attack a separate opponent you still get the Etali trigger so their card is still revealed on the attack trigger and played or remains in exile. Do that a finite amount of times they will deck out.

Yes, you would have to cast red a spell that says “Damage cannot be prevented this turn”then attack. They would take no damage but the “damage” would still count as commander damage. -I don’t know if this interaction specifically works against the one ring (I don’t want to look it up) but this interaction can occur

No, because godo only untaps once. So you get the first attack and then the untap.

Godo doesn't untap infinite times. It only untaps once. You only get two attacks total from each Godo in the infinite combat loop.
