Also the grimy look went well with how the changes for certain characters like goku ssj1-2 to ssj3. He gets a much sharper design where as goku usually has more of wavy design to him. Or gohan ssj 1 to ssj 2 duting the cell games. That 1st pose after gohan transforms was the goat. I like some of the newer anime animation designs like demon slayer has. But there are very few that do it that well these days.

Gogeta’s signature technique soul punisher... in a manner of speaking it acts similarly to the spirit bomb in that it’s only as effective if the intended target has so much negative energy. However the soul punisher takes a lot less time to charge and disintegrates the opponent from the inside, as seen with Janemba.

In Budokai 3 it was called Soul Punisher and it had the full combo from the movie, and in the Tenkaichi games it was called Stardust Breaker, and it was just the ki attack. That's Tech Freak's only reference. Anything surmised about that attack is context-derivative. What do we know about it? It destroyed Janemba and restored his uncorrupted form, and didn't kill Broly even though Gogeta completely outclassed him. There's no way of knowing if the mutated worker would have been restored no matter the method of destroying Janemba, thus the best context we have is that it's an attack that specifically targets evil energy. Are you saying you have something definitive? As far as I can tell, your idea that it's just a cool looking ki blast is just as much speculation as anything else about the attack.

WOOOO YES!!! This has been my favorite DBZ movie for the longest time. This movie really solidified my love of Gogeta. His theme, the way he's portrayed, his intimidating aura and facial expressions, his fusion scene, and let's not forget about his attacks!!! But as for Goku vs. Janemba, there are plenty of cool shots and fight scenes. The build-up to Gogeta is quite incredible. Of course, the light-hearted satire and HITLER'S EDITION were pretty funny too. This movie was one of those masterpieces for me. Also, the heavy metal was pretty dope when it was used to emphasize intense settings.

My favorite of the OG 13 movies released. As with all of them until battle of gods, none of the stories are strictly "canon". So officially the first time in the story that gogeta happens is in the new broly movie

A lot of the movies are non-canon mirrors of whatever arc they were working on at the time, so this one shares a lot of themes and moments with the Buu saga because this was made shortly before the end of the series (the movie came out about a year before the final DBZ episode, which wraps up the Buu saga and was the finale for the series as a whole until Super came out). Other examples are a movie about a new saiyan coming to earth (who looks IDENTICAL to Goku....for some reason?) which came out just after the Saiyan saga finished, and a movie about Frieza's brother (not canon) coming to Earth for revenge which aired 2 months before the Frieza Saga was finished. Also the movies tend to play hard and fast with the canon and timeline, which makes it weird and complicated to try and fit them in to the timeline we know from the series, for instance both Goku and Vegeta are dead in this movie (which should be set after the Cell saga, which Vegeta survived), but it's set before Buu because Vegeta doesn't say "again" when he talks about not wanting to join bodies with Goku, all the movies have weird timings and inconsistencies like this, some fit better than other like Cooler's Revenge could feasibly happen in canon, as well as The World's Strongest and potentially Broly The Legendary Super Saiyan (if it's set during the 9 day gap before the Cell games), but it's best to not think about it and just treat them as well-animated little stories that reflect things we've seen before

To put some sense into where the movies take place in the "timeline," they are usually after the segment of the manga the movie starts production alongside and where the movie's writer _assume_ the story will end. For Fusion Reborn, they probably started production around when Gotenks first fused, and the writers probably assumed that Gotenks _would_ defeat Buu. So the setting is in an alternate timeline where Gotenks defeated Buu and thus both Goku and Vegeta remained in the Otherworld. On a similar note, the (first) Broly movie from Z takes place in an alternate timeline where Gohan and Goku completed their training in the Time Chamber, and the writers probably assumed Gohan/Goku somehow defeated Cell as SSJ1s(Gohan never goes SSJ2, yet everyone is celebrated + Chi-chi is trying to send Gohan to school).

The Bojack and Wrath of the Dragon movies are my favorite because they can actually fit into the timeline. Wrath of the Dragon is the next and final DBZ movie, and it's got great character work. If you have time, it'd be cool to watch that right between Buu and Super.

No. The fusion reborn movie conflicts with the buu saga timeline. Goku doesn't meet vegeta until after his death when he sacrificed himself to kill buu during after buu absorbs gohan, when baba brings him back to earth. In the movie, goku is confused on how vegeta had his body back in otherworld and even vegeta stated he didn't know. Only wrath of the dragon fits within the timeline

one thing you should notice, when the barrier between the check-in station and the mortal realm was broken particularly for the Z fighters, all the villians they had killed(from previous movies and arcs) including Frieza came back. killing them would be easy, but they would just regen and you just have to kill them again. definitely one of the bangers of the series.

Basically the move Gogeta used is called stardust breaker and it only works on pure evil. That’s why when he did it against Broly it did not kill him, which proved that Broly was not a bad guy.

The attack he used is called "StarDust Breaker" It is an energy purifier. It is slimier to the spirit bomb where it won't hurt anyone who is good. (or maybe it can only be knocked back by good. maybe both idk) Anyways Only difference is that it that stardust breaker will 100% nullify any evil while the spirit bomb only has a stronger damage output when killing evil. Hence why is DBS Broly, the move did nothing against Broly. Broly was an innocent going berserk.

I love Gogetas theme, it's so DOPE. His introduction makes him look like such a BA. Also, as you can see, Goku uses SSJ3 A LOT to fight off and stall major villians at bay, but NO CAP, Gogeta is the 1, that put Janemba away, DEFINITELY. Janemba was no match for Gogeta. But honestly I like Vegito a little bit more he's just more OP. Gogetas appearance looks a little more CLEAN, no lie.

I think that attack was called Stardust Breaker. I think according to the wikia, I'm too lazy to check, it completely obliterates all traces of evil, and since Janemba was just pure evil, it completely wiped him out. The attack is also called Soul Punisher, and he also used it on Broly in the Broly movie, but all it did was make Broly angrier, since Broly was not an evil person.
