I don't why, but the Brian thing just reminded me of a time I was playing League, I had an Akali on my team whose username was something along the lines of "I like Tomboys". I then complimented them on the username, and after the thanks they explained to me that they chose that username to specifically clown on people when they get killed by them.
@Graysett

That's the exact methodology my one sibling uses behind picking their names and designing their custom characters. They want you to lose AND they want you to feel embarrassed that you lost to someone that looks goofy as fuck with a stupid name. I blame my step-dad letting them be the ones talking on mic while he played Halo back in the day so people would be embarrassed they lost to a squeaky 8 year old.

Went to my first EVO this year and was absolutely mortified at the thought of going 0-2. What was crazy is that I was someone who went to locals and thought I would be used to the pressure. When I won my first set I was actually through the moon, I was dooming for the multiple weeks leading up to it and in hindsight, it was probably tanking my mental health, but did wonders for my improvements in practice sessions.
@Pompadourius
@Pompadourius 2 жыл бұрын
The most important part of going to any tournament, to me, is to at LEAST go 1 - 2 so I can have the virtue of saying I got some good hits in. I'm not confident enough in my skills at any game at the moment to ask for more than that. Not above pools yet, sadly.

Had a Bud go 0-2 in SF4 and when he came back he was different. Where we used to hang out all the time 9/10 he’d stay home and play SF4. Exception being the weekends, where he’d work as many hours as he could….. to save up to go to Houston (from Florida) so he could rematch the guy who took him out. I mean found his fb and everything they set it up and he won their set, and then just hung out that weekend. LSS in our adult years they moved to my hometown (ATL) and “Black Blake” has joined the friend circle.

And to make it so bad, they both dropped SF5 immediately and moved on to Tekken. Me and our other friend stayed with SF.
