Going Ductless Might NOT Be In Your Best Interest

Going Ductless might not be in your best interest in some instances. Consider all your options before replacing or upgrading your existing systems. Our customer in this video wanted a dual fuel system when replacing their old furnace and unitary A/C. Jared goes through the newer options of combining a heat pump with a furnace giving you all the details including humidification.

I am a dealer and HVAC technician, also in the Denver area. I install predominantly dual-fuel systems with humidifiers and AprilAire filtration system. The furnaces that I sell have a continuous fan functionality from the factory and is setup on every system. With Colorado being so arid, I also setup the humidifier to run and cycle as needed through the entire year, not just during the heating cycle. I use the Automatic Model 60/62 humidistat from AprilAire. This looks like a great installation. I do not sell Rheem but I know it is a quality product. Having both an 80%, which is probably 85% and communicating systems are keep and let the boards and thermostat control the functionality as needed. We have a few different thoughts on equipment and how the install would be, but this installation is top notch and with quality equipment. I don't even know this channel and I am also in Denver, so I can appreciate the work and system design. I do have a couple gripes about the install, but that is how it goes. The Heat pumps should be elevated off the ground above average snowfall and I did not need in the video really efficient filtration systems or filter boxes that will help run and clean the air 24/7. That isn't to say that it wasn't there. Colorado isn't necessarily known for heat pumps and that is all I sell with a dual-fuel setup but awesome to see someone do exactly what I sell and install. We install a heating system that melts the ice under the unit. Also the unit has about 4” above the pad. The plastic bottom is hollow and allows draining. The unit also has a pan heater system so you don't need to install some ugly lift kit. I've lived in Colorado all my 46 years and snow can build up yes but it's gone 90% of the time the next day. I also have done HVAC for 30 years out here. Thanks for watching the install video. And yes the system has a filter box

I just installed 2 5 ton mr cools. They absolutely crank. 6000 sq feet. Boom. My last 2pos Trane xl16i were 3 ton s of shit! They did absolutely no load calculations on my home- first red flag- and Home Depot sucks for being misleading. And the installers sucked so bad. I never ever have installed central ac. My install looks so amzinlgy professional! Everyone including ac guys are like wow!

Most mini splits I see in homes have the same complaint: too small! Guy had a 12500btu unit he got off Amazon to cool a 12x20 loft and he couldn’t get it to his ideal cooling temp.

So I'm doing my fist commercial office real estate development and I'm all new to HVAC but I'm debating whether to go ductless or not? My spaces will be about 5200 sqft each. You can do it 100 different ways. Just depends on what you’re looking for.
