Makes me appreciate hand made bags even more knowing less people are doing all the work, even one person, and the high quality you get out of it. It's also astonishing that such high quality can come form such a large operation like a manufacturer. Love this series Bo!

I have also gained lots of appreciation for bags. Considering that this is the most complex item that is being made from fabrics (compared to clothing or shoes for instance) this makes our enthusiasm for bags even more special 😉

Hey Bo, im from Indonesia and i have small business bag production. As a small business i have the same steps with the big manufacturer, but not that complex ofcourse. Ur video give a lot insight how the big manufacturer works and keep their quality good. Thanks for ur video, keep up

These videos are so good. I'd never have the chance to check out a production line in Indonesia... it's insane the amount of work that goes into this process.

Who knew that such attention to detail went into just putting a bag together in stages. I wonder if parts are not available, to avoid delays if the contracting companies just say roll with what you have so production won't suffer a set back. Can't wait for the next installment.
@Youknowthebo5 жыл бұрын
If I'm not mistaken this is not possible because this would require space to store those half ready items or would mess up the logistics of the production lines. So I assume you need all the items before setting up those production lines

Just wondering how much time is typically allocated for sampling? I presume there will be actual field test of the sample before the company starts mass production.

Dude you seriously did this documeseries for free? Surely you charged them for the filming and editing right? Such a good job sharing this information to people who are interested in bags though. Same as you I never knew it involved such a long process!
@Youknowthebo5 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Cornelius. Yes, I did this for free. However, they paid for the flights, hotels and food. Usually I would never work for free. But it's really important to me that all my KZbin work is unbiased and untouched from any brands. And if I would have been paid, I would have needed to give them some editorial power or at least would feel obligated to talk good about the company. That is why I did this for free and made sure I had all the freedom I need to create these videos. I'm happy to know that you like these videos.

Did they mention anything about beta testing the bag, i.e have some people test it out in real world conditions before they go into production? I would imagine that would be an important part of the process. Quality Control, Quality Assurance. Speaking of which things do happen, I bought a camera backpack and it came with out the dividers for the gear, do have to say the company took care of it, they gave me a code to get a new one on Amazon and they told me to keep the old one. Very Interesting to see all that manufacturing going on, reminds me of my warehouse days. It would interesting to see how they get from one country to another, see it made in Indonesia and someone packing it up in Europe but that would be a long process.
@Youknowthebo5 жыл бұрын
Episode four will go into stresstesting. As for beta testing, I'm not sure about that. Good question. Furthermore, shipping is cover by the actual brands. Tasindo only ships everything to the brand's warehouse and they will do all the shipping to the individual customers
