They're more than a Tool clone as some would say which is a disservice and Lopez is as awesome as ever, so glad to see him back in music. Cesar Diaz metal couldn't possibly be more versatile! I think you need to explore more metal before you make such a big judgement on the genre. Most metal isn't mainstream music because obviously it's not exactly easy listening, so the most metal you non-metalhead listens to is the most stream generic music that's probably what you've experienced, but there is a whole world of metal out their with more sub-genres than i count! Its much more extensive than you probably think
