Playing the long game. Got in on gold and silver $1,200/$12 perspectively. It's just so hard to wait for the price explosion when your watching a blow off top in the equities markets. But I have diamond hands for once in my life. Nothing is worth anything unless it's hard right? But damn watching gold hit new all time highs while silver flounders is frustrating to say the least. Hopefully my research and belief in my intelligence will pay off.

You can make USD fiat profit using the ETFs. I wouldn't sell physical until we're into a new monetary system or into retirement and using it for living expenses. Maybe if there's some big investment that will earn more than gold I want to get into. It would have to be spectacular though.

I see things a little different for gold and silver... It's the manufacturing and pricing. The reality of gold and silver as assets and industrial material then gold and silver must have a realistice value in terms of affordability otherwise the idustries will come to a halt. Things are made of gold and silver and if gold and silver follows the trend or desire of speculative investors foresee, prices must skyrocket to compensate for a gold and siver surge. If currency is backed also then gold must be close to an affordable value to let to get your gold in a hard asset form. Gold at $15000 means no gold chains or watches for an ordinary person. Even your mirror will become unaffordable.

Interesting perspective about possible global down turn when the U.S. economy cools off. But I think he's preaching gloom and doom to increase demand for a tangible wealth like gold because he is a gold trader. Increasing GDP reindustrializing the U.S. will lead to increasing tax revenue and decreasing GDP to deficit thus decreasing any need for QE. The dollar is not going any where there is no alternative and gold is NOT the alternative there simply is not enough gold to return to a global gold standard. A gold trader like him would like that but its not going to happen. World banks are simply hedging their bets and diversifying, you dont plan on burning the kitchen down but you keep a fire extinguisher in the kitchen, central banks do not plan on diverting away from the dollar but they want to have a fire extinguisher just in case. They are simply hedging their bets not moving away from the dollar. Saudi Arabia has already said they are not committed to joining BRICS the House of Saud wants their security blanket back they want the Americans to defend them once again and give them a formal security guarantee. Once the American wag their finger at the House of Saud and grant them the formal defense guarantee the House of Saud wants they will come running back and jump in bed with the Americans and play the geopolitical financial energy bedroom games the Americans want them to play. He's simply trying to sell gold like some cheap Persian Bazaar hustler. Scare people tell them gloom and doom to get them to buy (his) precious mettle gold. The gloom and doom about the U.S. economy and the coming crash is NOT going to happen reindustrialization as well as having energy security and the ability to feed ourselves the U.S. economy is going to muddle along and continue to grow. German, Japan and even the U.K. have their own issues but all three have one major issue together that of shrinking demographics reducing domestic demand for their output because of decreasing population in the prime consumer ages. A problem the Americans will not have because of the one thing the Americans villainize immigration. Germany became to dependent upon Russian fossil fuels and has now lost that and has to buy comparatively more expensive U.S. LNG another factor for the Germans is how foolish they were by dropping their pants and bending over and thinking the Chinese were not going to stick it in. They united with Chines producers in China to produce cars/electric cars to cut cost and the Chinese learned/stole the know how duplicated it moved a few miles down the road and started underselling them and cutting into their market. This has been the issue with Japan ever since the 90s Japan lost much of its world market to a cheaper producer of consumer goods China. The U.K foolishly did BREXIT and now the crows have come home to roost they are to small of an economy by themselves to compete against larger mega economies like the EU and NAFTA. They hoped to get a trade deal with the Americans but the Americans wanted to much and the Brits were not willing to get on their knees and fellat the American pinga (as the Japanese did to get the trade deal they got from the Americans). Close down London as a financial center and move all of that to New York consolidate with the North American industrial system which means ending their part of airbus (producing the engines and wings) and have their agricultural sector meet North American hygiene standards. To much for the Brits to choke down so they walked away from a deal with the Americans, now they are a little fish in a pond with much bigger EU and NAFTA fish. As for this two bit Persian Bazaar hustler preaching gloom and doom to scare everyone to buy (his) gold, Ill put him back in the funny pages where he belongs. Is a recession coming??? Yes, if you keep saying every year there's going to be a recession eventually you will be right but it may take ten years or more for it to happen. Is a recession around the corner??? Not At All. Reindustrialization, Energy security, food security, does NOT equal recession. What is around the corner??? Muddling along and a growing economy.

In French silver =argent=money but if you want to buy a silver coin yo must pay 20% tax as a retail investor, it is considered as a normal good and almost nobody see it as a monetary asset like gold. Young people don't want silverware and even in jewelry many prefer 316 stainless because or allergy. Silver seems to be more a thing in USA, maybe they still have the memory of 10z =1$.. But in UK the sterling was a pound of silver and Britons are not known for stacking silver.
