I can speak from personal experience & anyone who thinks Goldberg wouldnt stay any amount of time to make sure he doesnt miss a single fan at a signing, i met him in Virginia Beach for an autograph signing & the sport store that was hosting it extended the hours they were staying open because Goldberg told them he wouldnt leave until signed for everyone & i made sure i was last in line & he stayed almost 2 hours past his scheduled time there to meet EVERY SINGLE FAN! True superhero & was most definitly my role model growing up & as the great Paul Heyman said, “As a family man, if your a father in this audience, we can all aspire to be half the father that Bill Goldberg is to his son” #WHOSNEXT #BELIEVETHEHYPE #THANKYOUGOLDBERG #RealLifeSuperhero #RoleModel #Inspirational #SuperDad

I met Goldberg after a nitro in 98. I was 16 and snuck past the security to the parking garage where the wrestlers were leaving. I was a muscular football player in high-school and he said "are you a wrestler or a footballer?" He was super nice. Talked to me for probably 5 minutes. He was super cool even though he knew I wasn't supposed to be there. I always respected him for that

WCW’s security was horrible. When I was 18, I went to go buy tickets at the last second, but hours and hours before the show, and after I was done buying the tickets at the venue, I started walking around and checked all the doors and found one that was unlocked. I snuck in and got in the nosebleeds and just sat and watched everything for hours. And then left without anybody ever knowing I was there.

Goldberg on fatherhood: "There is no right way, there is no wrong way, there's just YOUR way." That is so true. To people who are new fathers or expecting a child soon, remember this. A lot of older people will give you advice to their way but it may not work for you. It's a learning experience. As you age you'll realize everyone is just sorta winging it and hoping for the best. If you are a teenager/in your early 20's, barring cases of extreme abuse, you will learn that maybe you were a bit harsh on your parents. Again this is excluding the cases of abuse or drug abuse etc... The man dropped invaluable wisdom.

If you were a kid in the 90s like I was, watching Goldberg was like watching a real life Superman. “LC” was my favorite Remote Control button on Monday nights. Matter fact, every Monday night during the wrestling wars, was like marvel dropping a new movie from the MCU, only you didn’t have to wait 3 to 5 years.

@@jeffersontheflyestpoet9497nah, everyone who grew up watching wrestling in the 90s looked at Goldberg as an unstoppable gladiator/superhero. People just want to hate because they feel like that makes them "wrestling purist"... The reality is Goldberg was the hottest act in wrestling during the biggest wrestling boom ever. Whether people want to acknowledge that or not is on them.

@jeffersontheflyestpoet9497 mhm I'm sure. If you truly didn't care for Goldberg back then, in the 90s, then great, here's your cookie... You won't win any cool points for that. The reality is, he was liked by MOST people in the late 90s. He was selling out arenas and is the greatest champion WCW ever had in terms of star power. Like I said, people hate on Goldberg because it's the cool thing to do in wrestling fandom. It's sheep mentality.. Also, the same people that trash Goldberg are the same who worship Daniel Bryan who is a literal snooze fest.

Could you imagine the amount of bad advice Bill got that he took serious when entering the vicious cut throat business of wrestling as a Green Horn but was the most popular wrestler on the roster. The jealousy, people want to take his spot, take advantage of a Man who literally knew shit about the business. Easy target. Im not saying he didnt get great advice too but my point being he actually did pretty good to stay and draw numbers. I always respected Goldberg for that.

I may have been a kid and Goldberg may have been green but man was it believable to me that this dude was just a monster and. Back to a happier time when I didn’t understand wrestling politics, the indie scene etc. this guy obviously did something majorly right to have that success back then and coming into WWE in the early 2000’s. To see that dude come back to wrestling but in WWE & for the World heavyweight championship mannnnn I was hyped! Goldberg will always have infinite Aura to me and I Thankyou Bill for everything you’ve gave to the industry. Thankyou Chris for providing this platform for him to speak so openly and comfortably!
