Ms. DeHavilland has had an extraordinary career and should have been the recipient of an AFI Life Achievement award some time ago. Any actress who starred in Wyler's "The Heiress" and won an Oscar, starred in "The Snake Pit", co-starred in "Gone With The Wind" and "The Adventures Of Robin Hood" with Errol Flynn, deserves every accolade.She is one of the greatest surviving stars of the 30s, 40s and 50s.

I don't know if they still do but actresses in the golden age were schooled in the fine arts of elocution and poise. They were groomed to be as royalty. We don't see much of that in our modern society.

I am a man I was born in 1976 I saw Olivie de Havilland for the first time in the movie Captain Blood from 1935. Her appearance in the film was not only the appearance of an excellent actress but also an amazing beautiful girl when she was 19 years old she was young and beautiful actually hypnotized me You can it was possible to fall in love with her without memory at first sight. This film, due to her amazing beauty, not only spiritual, but also beauty, was deep in the mine mind. As soon as the news of her death appeared, I immediately remembered her actor creation in this film. Olivio died for the world I can only write rest in peace for me and for many other fans who love your by film creations you will live forever and you will always remain in our memory Robert from Poland

July 26-2020 not only claimed Corona victims, Ennio Morricone, Kobe etc. But now, it also took the life of one of the last surviving Hollywood legends! RIP Olivia I literally just rewatched Gone with the Wind, due to HBO Max's temporary removal, just a few weeks ago! I loved the movie, and my mom & family would always spend at least once a year rewatching the movie. And not lying, I literally dreamt last night about Gone with the wind, and to my surprise, this happened. It was a bit Ironic that she died in the movie, but was one of the last surviving Cast members til today. Rest in Peace de Havilland. Gone with the Wind will always be one of my most favorite movies, like One Flew over the cuckoo's nest, Lawrence of Arabia, bridge over the River Kwai, LOTR, Chinatown, etc. I may be 24 years old, but I really love classic and old films!

Olivia de Havilland was so natural & yet knew just how to command an audience with a special gift she had of engaging them (us). I know she lived a long & full life & while I never met her, the idea, the concept of her being gone will take a while to really soak in. Last weekend, I watched Hush...Hush, Sweet Charlotte & she played that role to the hilt, the Nth degree. She stole everything but the cameras. That was an epic task & an equally epic performance, holding her own with Bette Davis. Requiem in Pace & I look forward to seeing many more of her films via DVD & if ever this dreadful virus of COVID19 goes away, perhaps with like-minded folk at a real film palace. Farewell, Miss Olivia de Havilland.

Miss Olivia de Havilland, one of my Favorites, was not only A Classic, but The Classiest of Ladies, from birth, to the tender young age of 104! She was born the same year, 1916, and a few months after my grandmother was born. We blessedly had her with us for 1 month short of 96 years. Miss de Haviland always reminded me of my grandmother, (Emily) who, was Also Classy, Sassy, and of course, THE Classic!! She told me once, when she was young; she “almost ran away, with a friend of hers, to be an actress like Miss Olivia de Haviland” (😊 Our favorite!) I asked her, “what stopped you from going?” She said, “My father would’ve come after me, brought me back, and THEN, he would have killed me!!” We had an Awesome laugh over that one!! 😂 How Blessed I Am!! 🙏🏽 Miss You, Sithoo! 🥰 😉

Shame on ‘Feud’ for misrepresenting Miss De Havilland and causing her distress towards the end of her life. She sought legal redress but lost the case. She had every right to object to how she was portrayed and misquoted in the show. She was a woman of dignity and integrity and deserved much better than to be the subject of such a travesty.

@debra138 жыл бұрын
Actually, Justine can act quite well, though the best of it was never done on Family Ties. She was terrific in Men in Trees and many other shows. She just got a degree in computer science technology, etc. and is going to combine all her talents to start up an entertainment tech company and also act-I wish her a lot of success because she is a cool, talented woman.
