I ever thought that praying mantis are the smartest and most intelligent of all the insects. Bees, ants and termites are very organized but in a rigid, repetitive and robotic way. Mantis is the only insect that seems LOOK toward you with its eyes. Said that, if I was the owner of a so beautiful animal never let it fight at risk of its life. I would treat it well, like a pet

I have seen a couple of videos where a single assassin bug Killed the mantises. The respective sizes were close to these in this video. When I decided to watch this one, I was pretty sure the mantis would be killed, having to face 3 venomous and fierce assassin bugs. This mantis was skilled, but it was also, a bit lucky that the other two assassins didn't even try to attack it from behind. The mantis's abdomen is its softest body part, and it was just there for the biting, while it was eating the first assassin.

I tried to look in the comment section for anyone who was saying the same thing I was about to say, but, putting bugs up for “battle” like this is terrible. Forcing them to kill each other, by gathering insects for content, instead of the environment, is awful. It’s not cool to portray insects & bugs this way as a toy to watch & fight with.

True, but was it fair that an energized, reserved assassin get to finish off a tired mantis who already had to fight and kill 2 prior assassins while simultaneously being attacked by all 3 throughout the ordeal? @@ChristyKrohnethat's what they do when they fight, eat the opponent. How would he kill it, with a Karate chop? He also needed to guard himself against 3 venomous stingers while doing it. The assassin bugs aren't wimps, they have that name for a reason. Three against one will never be a fair fight. They lost because they didn't take advantage of attacking him while he was preoccupied with one of the other bugs. A quick sting to the torso or stomach could have destabilized him; he just outfought and outsmarted them. They all had help/eachother to help fight, so I don't see the big deal in helping him off of his back. He fought 3 assassins for a long time. I'm sure he was tired and disoriented.

The Mantis is designed to hold its prey and eat it slowly. Manti are well armored. Their body is mostly superior to all other insect like creatures" bound to the ground" with their upright torso and all-seeing eyes, along with it's amazing front legs. However their disadvantage is there small mouths with no venom or stinger for defense. They're not made to engage with multiple venomous stinging creatures because their kill is usually slow and so they would have to let go of Juan before it's properly killed to grab another and then the one that they were working on can jump up and get them it's not a win-win for them( the 🙏🏼Mantis) 🤮🥵🤯🥀

I disagree completely. First I presume this is Platymeris Biguttatas. As such this insect never considers any insect this large prey. And in it's tiny little brain as it tries to decide how to deliver its defensive blow keep in mind a human hand would possibly be a thousand times easier of a decision then this mantis. Not to mention the fear of this insect of the Mantis making it extra hesitant to waste an effort.
