I just started golfing last summer and I got good. Unknowingly I developed a very strong grip and lost ball flight and hooked it all the time. During winter and injury I lost my swing and was so frustrated so I searched youtube for help, Paul was able to show me exactly what to fix and how to fix it. went to the range today and like magic my swing is back. thank you so much 😊

This vid & also 'Golf Distance: How To Hit The Drive Longer' are (in my opinion) 2 of the best golf vids in circulation. They jettisoned my game in just a 30 minute session at the driving range, practicing what Paul taught in both vids. I was so impressed with the results that I had the confidence to put it to the test that day whilst playing a match with my golf buddies at a course I never played & easily won the match as this "new" concept swing I adopted from Paul worked for every club in my bag. It was as effortless as it was EASY on my back. For the first time in YEARS I'm excited about my game. PROPS, PAUL & MANY THANKS!!! This technique IS a keeper! Wow!

Thank you for this video. I just had a lesson from a young instructor who made our entire first (and final) lesson about holding the angle through impact. I am not a pro, I am a recreational golfer that plays in the low 90s consistently. Your explanation is exactly what I was looking for to complete the missing link of my swing. I will use this method and I believe that it will stop my occasional slicing by forcing me to swing inside. Thanks again...

I've been playing golf for a few years, and have struggled to understand the concept of the right hand angle. Since seeing this video and a couple of weeks on the driving range has completely changed how I play this game. I have some ways to go, but i am starting to understand 'effortless' golf. Thank you.

You are the best Paul. I watch your videos before heading to the range every now and then and it improves my game everytime. After 3 years of struggling with the driver, I watched one of your driver videos before going to the range where you explained the release and to loosen your hands to generate speed and I started hitting my driver about 80 - 100 yards extra. It was ureal ! Thank you :)

Many thanks Paul. This is brilliant! I've had many lessons and watched many golf videos, but never found anything as clear and as simple as this. I now understand about the mechanics, rhythm and 'whip' of the swing much better. I can now hit the ball longer, straighter and with much less physical effort. As always, there's more work to do on my swing, but already I can see a huge improvement. Keep making the videos - they're brilliant. Thanks again.

This makes so much sense. I'm a big guy and I was not getting any power out of my swing which made no sense. On my own at the range I saw how a looser wrist was helping me with my swing and delivering more power. Golf is fun and you want to rip monster hits but we get pumped and over squeeze the club locking everything up and taking away club head speed. However with Paul's video's here I see the other factors to bring the swing to function fully. Thanks so much! I'm going to try and implement these tips.

Paul, two years ago I bought the revolution golf videos. I have to say it was an excellent investment. I always go back to it having some problem on a golf course. I know it sounds a bit fishy but what Paul is saying in his videos is simply working for me perfectly, I just cannot believe it. But watching lots of other golf videos this is by far the best for me. It really works. Many thanks Paul. Dusan

Thank you Paul. I took your tips, worked on the secession teaches how to point the right knee in down swing to the second ball forward: works every time. By the way watching your videos in the last two months helped to improve my game from high to low 80s, and feel I can do better. Thank you again.
@royrubin72598 жыл бұрын
Paul, took a year or so but I came back to your grip videos and hitting at 3/4 speed videos and it all came together. Took some lessons with a pro this year and he wanted me to hit the draw, but I just couldn't do it. Fades or big hooks with the driver kept me from breaking 80. Also I lacked distance. Anyhow your grip and the idea that the top hand is the club head allowed me to strike the ball with the spin I needed like hitting a left-handed ping pong backhand over-spin, that's the best way to describe it. If I need the fade, no problem, just address the ball a half inch towards target. Hope that helps folks?

Jim Flick and Bob Toski advocate(d) a drill like this called "Tee to Re-Tee" or the "L to L Drill." It really gets your hands releasing through the shot, compressing the ball rather than wiping it or blocking it. If your shots sometimes fly straight right, it's a sure bet that you didn't release the club head. I spent (wasted) many years trying to master the "One Plane Swing" with its body controlled release. Weak shots, flying all over the range. Once you start releasing the club like Paul shows here, you will be amazed at the effortless power and higher trajectory, in addition to much greater consistency. If you are hooking it, CHECK YOUR GRIP!! Nice work, Paul!

Paul Wilson Golf Good deal. It was during the drill that I saw the info never seen by me. The whip action that looks as if the arms stop and the hands are thrown by gravity at the ball. Great insight here... I have been holding the angle of the right wrist to take a divot but have tried this and it works. Many thanks for the explanation.
@paulwilsongolf11 жыл бұрын
This occurs due to having he right fundamentals. Using the lower body to power the swing tilts the upper body back in the downswing. Couple this with the arms fully extending and you get a divot. Buckle the arms or raise up and you will not get a divot. So loosen your arms and work on power the swing with your legs and hips. You'll see.

Seen this video several times..... and it just clicked. I used this drill before but was able to connect the dots a little better this time and driver/irons were much straighter. This drill however seems to bring back my baseball balance on the back foot a little more though. I seem to be thinking about clearing space to release in front but for some reason revert to falling back a bit. How do I combine both moves better?? Appreciate your work, thx.

Went to the range this morning and tried the tips in this video. Still have a lot of work to do, but occasionally was clearing the 150m distance marker with a 6 iron hit at an easy 75 percent effort. I am not a long hitter so, these suggestions from Paul really seem to work. Funnily enough there was a guy on the adjoining tee hitting it out of site with driver with the slow easy swing. Now I think I understand. Certainly worth giving this a try.

Thanks! I've known in my mind that the club should free flow, but I could not square the idea of holding that angle through impact. My short irons seem to be ok, but my long irons and woods just pretty much fail 80 - 90% of the time. Almost all of my woods go low and pull hook. I know why, but I can't seem to correct the club face to square no matter what I did. After watchng your videos, it appears my grip is also wrong. So, when this weather system breaks, I will try to put what I have learned from you to the test on my range. I have already tried the grip and swing without a ball. The grip will take some getting used to; however, I like the feel of the down swing.

Great instruction Paul, I've been working on this lately after way too much time spent trying to hold angles to achieve "shaft lean" I'm not sure if the shaft is leaning at Impact but I am finding that my good shots have the ball rocketing off the face with minimal effort. I'm thinking this is from my forearms turning over and supple wrists at impact. Thanks again.

Great! I was doing exactly this wrong during my swing and now I know exactly how to fix it thanks to Paul Wilson. I have one question, it appears that in some of "Ben Hogans" swing videos it talks about holding the club face square for a longer period then is typical through the end of the swing right before contact and after contact in order to provide better consitency. I was trying to do this, and was doing exactly what you said not to: holding that angle and locking everything up. Just kind of confusing in the Hogan swing videos cause it talks about holding that square face through contact, but according to what your saying that if I hold this through I'm going to lock up and lose energy and constency. def gonna try it tomorrow. Thanks Paul.
