COuldnt agree more. There are so many junk videos out there that try to explain stingers, draw, fade etc and they ultimately say nothing at all. I think a lot of these other youtubers are just good at golf and dont necessarily know how they hit the shots so they cant explain it.

After watching that first video you made with Eric learning the shot shapes months ago, I used that draw setup with a 9 iron to hit a green with a tree right in front of me. It was the only option I had, the ball could just not start left with my usual out to in ball flight or I was dead. I had never even tried it before. I trusted the shot and hit this beauty of a high baby draw landing soflty on the green. One of the best shots I have ever made/felt. The quality of your videos golf wisdom wise is getting ridiculous Matt. Legend

It’s amazing been playing for nigh on 45 years still learning every day in my youth I played off 7 now 19 read and listened and taken countless golf instruction, yet taking the insights from your amazing self and your teacher for the first time last weekend my handicap came down instead of going up. On this video like you Mattie I would never have thought to open the club face when playing off the back foot to play a low punch shot/fade. Can’t wait to get down to the range to try this video contents out. Thanks so much for sharing.

I hit a bucket of balls at the range yesterday. Had a bit of a struggle with my iron shots my last round so I only had my glove and the 6 iron with me. Nothing else. As usual I got some draw on them. From a little to a little bit more. I checked this video the day before yesterday and with that in mind I opened my club face about 1 cm just to try and see what happens. And BAUS! It went straight. Better hit and straight! Your channel are by far the best! Thank you!

I am not sure if this just a coincidence, but the way this is explained totally worked for me. I have always been a fader, but quite long and straight so I am a 0.5 hcp playa. But since watching this and testing at the range, but ball striking has improved so much that the last two rounds have both been my best rounds of the summer and I can see that I will now break in through the other side. Thank you so much for this, and props to you teacher. I will but some of your stuff just as a thank you.

Damn, this is one of your bests videos. Thanks for sharing! Please make more videos with this teacher! specially for noobs like myself. I am having trouble hitting the center face of the driver
@graphex166 ай бұрын
When I'm having trouble hitting the center of the driver out on the course I'll choke down a bit and then try to get to the range soon thereafter. Our range has buckets of water for cleaning clubs and I'll dip my driver into the water and then take a swing - all to see where I'm making contact. I'll repeat this a couple times for both normal and choked down grip positions to determine if where I position the club behind the ball and how far forward the ball needs to be for 'stock' straight ball flights . Then I'll do the water tests for draws and fades. Just a suggestion that helps me reset things again.

I’ve always understood these concepts from face path to club path images, but never really understood how to put them into practice. Love this video! My biggest take-away, is that I should trust my instincts more and practice all kinds of shots on the range, instead of only trying to hit down a straight line (which I fail to do anyway). It's incredible how much of what Eric was explaining just came intuitively to me when I was a kid, just having fun and not focusing on scores. All that, I since have unlearned, listening to swing gurus and trying to find that one consistent, ruler straight shot. But it all came back now. Saved to My Favourites. Can't wait to hit the range and practice area and explore. Will have to try very hard not to experiment too much during my club tournament tomorrow morning 😅.

Can these tips be implemented when doing short game shots around the green? For example, if you want to do a low bump and run chip shot, would you place the ball in the back near your right foot and open the club face, while your stance/shoulder line is square to the target? Also, if you want to do a high lob shot near the green, would "tilting the spine a bit towards the right foot" would do the job?
